David pov The sound of my kick echoed through the room as I smashed the door open, sending it crashing onto the marble floor. "Where the hell were you guys when all this went down?" I yelled, my voice booming enough to make my bodyguards flinch. The chaos that greeted me in my own home was a sight I never wanted to see. And Olivia fuckkkkkkk.Furniture was overturned, shattered glass littered the floor, and the air was thick with the stench of fear and desperation. My heart raced as I thought of Olivia—was she safe? The thought of her being with Ryan's crew sent a wave of nausea through me."Sir, we weren't here when it happened. Only four of our guys were, and they're already dead," one of my bodyguards replied, his voice trembling slightly. I could see the fear in his eyes, and it only fueled my anger. I slammed my fist on the nearest table in frustration, the wood splintering under the force of my blow. That’s when I noticed it—a dark, dried stain of blood on the floor that sent

David pov "Take that outside," I said, frowning. "But it's just a wallet." He shook his head at me. "Drop it outside," he replied in a cold tone, making me comply. Rhys had trained his bodyguard well. I set my wallet aside as the guard started checking me again. I waited patiently, eager to get this over with because Olivia's parents and her brother, who is also my childhood friend, had no idea she was missing. It’s not that I don’t want them to know; I’m just too swamped with their so-called drama. That’s why I asked my mom to fill them in, so Andrew could get a sense of what’s going on. Trust me, if anything happens to Olivia, I’m going to take that bastard down hard. "All done," the guard said, leading me to Rhys's office. I walked slowly, taking in the mansion—it was a bit bigger than mine. I was pretty sure there was a basement where they were keeping Olivia. The blue walls with grey shades gave off a really dull vibe. How long do I have to match his slow pace? How long until

Olivia pov I gradually open my eyes, feeling a sharp pain in my right hand. As I turn to my side, I notice the nurse is busy filling up a glucose bag. A sleepy moan escapes my lips when I realise David isn’t here. Where could he be? Ugh, he must be crammed into that tiny bed. I let out a sigh and asked the nurse, "When can I go home?" She looks at me and replies with a smile, "Today," before heading out. Great, now I’m stuck here alone. I really need to hit the bathroom. Taking a deep breath, I push myself up. Guess it’s time for a solo trip to the washroom. I grab the nearest lamp that’s sitting by the machines and use all my strength to move. They’ve had me in this cold water for way too long, and I feel like I’m starving. No wonder my legs, hands, and pretty much my whole body feel so numb that I can barely walk. Where’s David? I glance at the door again, but it’s still empty. With another deep breath, I take a step forward, then another, letting out little screams with each ste
