chapter 1: Reincarnation

“I wish you a smooth journey to hell.” Those were the last words Anna heard before multiple bullets were released on her as she lost consciousness.Opening her eyes in an extremely white space, she looked ahead at the unending space before her eyes darted to another soul which was present in the space.“Are we in heaven?” she asked her companion who squatted on the floor looking at her with uncertainty.“You're in my body now,” Came the first word from the soul which appeared to be fading.“How?” Anna asked in surprise and confusion. “Wasn't she supposed to be in heaven or probably hell. She had killed a lot of souls and knew it would be absurd putting her and heaven in the same sentence. How come she was in someone else's body?" she thought.“I don't know either, but you have to promise to avenge my death and live on in place of me.” she said as her soul was almost vanishing.“I promise, I will.” Anna said to the other party. She would have a chance to help her and also investigate

chapter 2: A new beginning

“How would you like to pay, miss?” The beautician asked Sonia who was staring at the mirror as if it were her victim. She turned away from the mirror and brought out the wallet she had picked up when she was cleaning and handed some stacks of dollars to her.“Your makeover cost five hundred dollars, and this is not up to a hundred dollars.” she said as she displayed the notes for her to see.Sonia opened the wallet again, and an empty wallet was what greeted her. “Gosh! This body wasn't only bullied, but also poor.” she thought as she brought out the badly damaged phone and logged into her banking app. She was among the best assassins in the cult and was paid for each successful mission so she had more than enough money. After leaving the spa, she walked aimlessly along the road as she reminisced on her past and the future she has to face. She had to help the previous occupant with her revenge, and she also had her own matters to tend to.She had walked for a long time and the sun had

chapter 3: A slap on the face

Sonia woke up as early as five dressed in a tank top and pants as she descended the stairs. The distance from her house to the gym was quite far, and she was going to jog there.Arriving at the gym, she chose the treadmill machine as she increased the speed at intervals. Her current body is limiting her ability, and she needs to be in shape to achieve her aim.Annoyed with her limited ability, she angrily increased the speed and was sent flying from the treadmill.Sonia closed her eyes anticipating the pain, but none was forthcoming as she slowly opened her eyes.“I am your knight in shining armor.” Vincent said as he grinned sheepishly, releasing his hold on her.“I went to the hospital and was told you had been discharged, and you didn't deem it fit to inform me.” he said with feign annoyance.Sonia glanced at him before she sat on the chair as she picked a hand lifter, continuing her exercise. “What was your performance in the last exam?” Vincent gave a lopsided grin when he heard

chapter 4: Meeting someone from the past

Sonia didn't expect that her hand would be intercepted before it got to her victim. None of her punches had been intercepted before, which she blamed on her current strength. She admires the driver's strength. With one hand on the wheel, the other hand was used to wade off her attacks. She concluded that she would be no match for him if he decided to face her head on.The taxi came to a halt and Sonia was half dragged from the vehicle.“Why have you brought me here?” she asked the driver, glaring at him. She could see he had no killing intense but didn't let down her guard regardless.Benjamin stood intimidating across Sonia as his eyes scanned her. “Who are you?” he questioned back.Sonia stood rooted to the ground as she heard the familiar voice. She had grown addicted to the voice, for her not to recognize it amidst the disguise.“Ben?” she called out before she could stop herself.Benjamin pulled off the face mask he wore when he heard her call his name. She was able to recognize

chapter 5: Meeting her betrothed

Sonia returned home after cooking for her grandfather. She almost gave herself out, but was glad she quickly covered it up.Entering the living room, the first sight that greeted her was a raging Mathew who was pacing the room like a hungry wolf waiting to devour its prey.“Why did you disgrace your sister at the company today? You have issues with me, why must you take out your anger on her?” he asked in annoyance.“Please don't scold her. I only told you what happened because you insisted.” Laura said as the peacemaker she was.Sonia scoffed when she heard her. Only a fool like Mathew would fall for her pretense.“You have sacrificed a lot for her, but what did she choose to repay you with? Imagine the insult on everyone. You're not to blame but your mother who didn't wait to install some manners in you before she disap___”Mathew's words were cut short as Sonia kicked him in his groin sending him flying as he hit the painting hung on the wall.“Mathew!” Laura called as she quickly

chapter 6 : Exposing his shabby dealings

Benjamin entered the bar and sat a few seats away from Sonia. Watching her alone lessened the burden in his heart as he tried to pinpoint the difference between his fiancée and the lady before him. As if feeling the stare directed at her, Sonia turned towards his direction and was met with the back view of the waitress who was currently taking his order. Her attention was shifted back to the dancing floor as a familiar tune played out from the loudspeaker. It was her only song before her rebirth. It portrayed her loneliness, wants and most, especially her yearn for freedom.A tear subconsciously slid down her cheeks as she quickly cleaned it up. Funny how she got the freedom she wanted, but not in the way she could ever think of.Her mind drifted off to Benjamin. She never wanted to release the song, but Benjamin persuaded her to which she was grateful for. She would have probably been regretting it if she didn't have anything to show that she once lived as Anna.“Another bottle of A

chapter 7: A business partner

“Pardon my lateness, I got the notice a bit late.” Benjamin said as he entered the room fully.“Who dares question Mr. Godfrey? I didn't know you were coming for this meeting. I would have ushered you in myself.” Mr. Knight said nervously as he vacated his seat for him.Sonia watched with mouth wide open as it clicked in her brain that she was occupying his seat and had been delusional earlier. But the main reason was why was he here? As far as she could recall, he has his company stationed in California and this company belongs to her mother! Was she missing any point?“I will be leaving first. I have something to tend to.” Sonia said after recovering from her shock as she headed to the door.“Did my present make Miss Knight uncomfortable?” Benjamin asked, stopping Sonia in her tracks.Sonia took in deep breaths as she plastered a fake smile on her face before turning to him. “Mr. Godfrey thinks too highly of himself. My work here is done, so it's natural that I will leave.”“Since y

Chapter 8: The return

Benita paced the room as she awaits Sonia's return. Laura already informed her about the arrest of her brother.“You should relax. I will convince her to drop the case and____” Mr. Knight was saying before Benita cut him off angrily.“Will you keep shut! Were you not there when that irresponsible daughter of yours got my brother arrested? Coward.”Sonia knew she was going to have a dose of her craziness, but she didn't expect it to meet her already going rampant. She prepared herself mentally before opening the door, as she was determined to meet Benita's craziness head on. She wasn't the fearful lady they once knew. Now she was reborn, and she won't allow anyone to trample upon her.“Good! Here comes the useless daughter of yours.” Benita said sarcastically as she glared daggers at Sonia.“Agreed. But I'm sure I am not as useless as your chameleon of a daughter.” Sonia fired back as she dropped her bag on the couch.Benita wasn't expecting the counter-attack. She knew she had grown f

chapter 9: Getting back at her bullies

“Hey, the school queen wants to have some words with you.” One of the students approached Sonia as the rest stopped a few feet away.“School queen? I have no time for bitches.” she responded as she removed her helmet, placing it firmly on her motorcycle. She intentionally spoke loudly, so everyone could hear her. The self-proclaimed school queen moved towards her, enraged.“Did you just refer to me as a bitch?” she asked with the little bit of patience left in her.“If you aren't deaf, then yes.” Sonia responded as she faced her head on.Mara was annoyed when she heard Sonia's response. She had crossed her bottom line and wouldn't lose face in front of her underlings. She raised her hand to slap Sonia, but it was held midair. “I am not lenient with bullies. I will let you off this time, but you might not be lucky next time.” she said as she extracted pressure on her wrist and only left it when she felt it snapping before walking off with her hands tucked in her pocket.Mara's underlin

chapter 10: The threat

Sonia jumped at a lightning speed with Vincent who she held firmly onto. She had moved out of instinct. She looked up towards the rooftop the billboard came crashing from and saw a familiar silhouette walking away. “Seems she doesn't know when to stop.” she thought as her gaze turned cold.“Are you okay?” Mara asked Vincent who was still in daze staring at the dent the billboard created. They were surrounded as everyone was attracted by the loud thud sound.“I would have been below that if we were a minute slow.” he said as he pointed at the dent which was just before the cafeteria.“It's because you hang out with this loser. I'm sure she inflicted her bad luck on you.” one of Mara's underlings, Vivian, said as laughter erupted from them.Sonia glanced at her as she remembered an incident that happened in the past.“I saw Mathew making out with a girl in the female restroom. You should separate them.” Vivian had said to her, and she quickly sprinted to the restroom not knowing it was
