June and Liam were seated at the dining table, having dinner when June spoke up."Arnold deceived her," June said, pushing her food around the plate. Liam smirked. "And who are we talking about?""You know what I'm talking about." She deadpanned. "I don't believe it's fair for her sister to spend her life in prison for a crime she knows nothing about. I can't live with that.""And what am I supposed to do with that?"June cleared her throat. "I will be rounding up my project soon.""And?""I want to take her with me." Liam smiled at her words. "Was that a joke?"June pursed her lips. "You said I could get one wish." "Three." He corrected and June resisted the urge to roll her eyes."All the same. I want you to hand her over to me." June said."I'm afraid, that's not possible," Liam stated with a serious expression. "I'd think you were smarter than that.""Don't insult me." June dropped her fork. "I did my research.""Those are mere facts.""She spoke the truth.""I know people like

Evelyn retired to her room and June sought out Sheila who was seated in the living room. After the situation, June helped her mother retire and returned to the living room to meet Sheila. "I'm very sorry for everything." June apologised immediately. "I promise they are not usually like this. It's just-""I hurt them." Sheila finished for her. A wry smile appeared on her face. "You don't need to apologise, I had it all coming. I did all that knowing they would hurt someone. You don't need to spare my feelings." She wiped her eyes. "Not when I didn't spare the feelings of the many people I've hurt." June felt tongue-tied. "I do not judge you for your life choices, Sheila." She said after a while. "I do not support them, but I know you were pushed to a corner."Sheila shook her head. "You don't know that." She muttered. "My twin sister is in jail. I put her there. That was all my doing.""No. That was my sister's doing." June corrected. "April put her in prison knowing she was not the

June headed to the hospital with Lucy in search of Sheila. According to the nurses, she was undergoing surgery and couldn't be seen until further instruction. June felt a cold sweat run down her spine. It seemed like any time she was close to a breakthrough, something terrible happened. Not to mention that the supposed evidence she had to prove her sister's innocence and put April behind bars was still stored somewhere she didn't know. Everything was falling apart. Lucy and June spent the day in the hospital waiting for good news on the surgery. When the theatre doors opened, June leapt to her feet and attacked the doctors with questions. "How is she? Where is she? How did it go?" "Are you related to the patient?" The doctor asked and she nodded. "Please see me in my office." June followed him immediately with Lucy behind her. They sat in the office and she asked once again. "How is she? Please don't keep us in suspense,""The young lady was in bad condition." The doctor started.

The young lady's facade broke at the mention of her sister's name. "What?" She tried to recover her facial expression. "Who are you talking about? I don't know what you are talking about."It was clear that she still tried to cover for her sister despite her situation. Sheila was wrong, the lady before her would do anything to protect her. She knew that bit from the little interaction she had with her. June drew closer and whispered. "I am here to help. Sheila told me everything and she wanted to set you free."Sharon had not heard from her sister in a long time and couldn't believe it. There was no way her twin sister was in contact with anyone from the Rivera family. They ruined their lives. "I don't know what you are talking about, Miss." She was steadfast in her words. The last thing she needed was to give away their plan to the enemy, or worse, get her sister into prison for her crimes. Sharon believed that Sheila would always have a better chance of getting out of prison wit

June walked out of the salon with a confused look on her face. Unknown to her, she was being targeted by some gunmen who stood at a high range distance with their guns set and ready to fire. June cautiously headed to her car and got into the driving seat. She placed the bag in her camisole and started her journey. She made a U-turn, and in the next two seconds, sirens blared in the air. The sound of the sirens was so loud that she was forced to pull over. Suddenly, she felt her tyre deflate and before she could figure out the reason for the sudden flat tyre, a gunshot hit her window glass - Forcing it to explode into a million chards. June ducked as more shots fired in the air. The entire environment was noisy and people rushed into their homes, trying to take cover. June held on to the brown bag, refusing to let go no matter the cost. She felt a graze of pain in her head and her heartbeat increased to an all-time high. She remained in her car until the rain of bullets shattered
