Jocelyn’s POV “I got it,” I said, removing the last of mine and Henry's luggage from Nancy's car booth. We were currently at the airport where Henry and I would catch a direct flight to Australia, leaving everything and everyone behind.A week had passed since I went to give Eduardo the flash drive, in hopes that watching our sweet moments together would help him regain his memories. However, I was yet to receive a feedback from either him or the nurse.Three days ago when I went to visit him, I wasn't allowed to see him. When I asked the nurse about his condition, they told me that he was still the same.Which meant either Agnes or Sofia had found the flash drive and had disposed it.Now, I knew there was no hope anymore.I could already envision Agnes and Sofia taking Eduardo faraway and further poisoning his mind. It hurt me so much that I could barely do anything to help. The whole thing felt like a nightmare that I desperately wanted to wake up from.“You are really doing this,

Jocelyn’s POV “I don't like that man but he makes you happy so I have no choice but to,” Nancy muttered, as I cinched my bracelet around my wrist.“Thank you for considering my happiness, Nancy.” I said, to which she shrugged.“You are welcome, Josie.” Running my hands down my hips, I stared at my reflection, wondering if my dress wasn't too tawdry for a date.It was a red figure-hugging dress with thin straps for arms and a short frill at the knee where it stopped.“You look good by the way,” Nancy said. “I hope you have fun.”“I hope so too,” I said, my heart slamming against my chest in anxiety. “This reminds me so much of our first date. I had been so anxious that I had nearly stood him up.”“Really?” Nancy asked, as we both walked out of my room.“Yes,” I replied. “Back then, I was a one-eyed outcast who couldn't believe a perfect man like Eduardo was in love with me.”“Aw,” Nancy mused. “Now I can't even be mad at him anymore seeing how in love you seem whenever you speak abou

Eduardo’s POV “Hi, Eduardo,” Ivy's voice came from the other end as I placed three bottles of wine on the table.“Hey, how are you doing?” I asked, assessing the wine bottled and pondering which was the best choice to gift Jocelyn out of the three.Last night, I was stunned when I got a text message from Jocelyn, detailing how she intended on telling Henry who I truly was. And ever since then, I had been nervous. But in a good way.I highly looked forward to being the best father that could ever be to Henry. I had missed out on five whole years and I knew I probably had big shoes to fill and I intended on doing the best I possibly could for my son.“I'm fine,” Ivy said. “By the way, your whole amnesia period was crazy. Thank goodness I didn't find out about it until everything was over. I would have lost my mind, genuinely.”Chuckling, I returned two bottles of wine to the fridge. “Looking back, it seems funny but at that period, it really wasn't. I had no idea who I was or who I lov

Eduardo’s POV “What should we have for breakfast?” Jocelyn asked, as I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her closer from behind.“Sex,” I said without thinking.Turning, she darted me a pointed look then sighed. “Who am I fooling? Same.”Chuckling, I threw an arm around her midsection as my lips soughted hers in a torrid smooch. Our tongues battled for supremacy, a pointless fight that Jocelyn easily surrended to.Desire spread through me like wildfire as I tasted Jocelyn's soft, velvety lips, completely lost in how sweet and addictive they were.Throughout yesterday, Jocelyn and I hadn't done anything other than having sex and eating.I was immensely glad that we had both taken that long-deserved leave. As Jocelyn hooked her arm around my neck, an idea struck me and I withdrew from the kiss.Jocelyn didn't seem excited in the slightest by my sudden action as her rosy lips puckered into a pout.Planting a chaste kiss to her lips, I said. “Don't look so mad, baby. I want us to try s

Eduardo’s POV Walking out of my villa, I slid my wallet into my pocket and felt it to make sure it was really there before proceeding on my way.I knew for sure that Jocelyn would have my head if I forgot something else again, thus, I had taken my identity card, my credit card and even my driver's license, even though we were both walking to the mall. However, on getting to the place where I had left Jocelyn, I didn't see her there. My brows furrowed in befuddlement as I walked further, inwardly wondering whether I had missed up the roads. But the huge oak tree that I had seen earlier around the place told me that I was at the right place. So where then was Jocelyn? If she was going elsewhere, she would have texted me a message to inform me but she hadn't.Grabbing my phone, I dialed her number and waited for her to answer. It was when she failed to pick up on the third ring that I remembered I saw her phone on the nightstand some minutes ago, when I went back to the villa.Heaving a
