Lahat ng Kabanata ng THE BILLIONAIRE’S REGRET: MY EX-HUSBAND WANTS ME BACK: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

ELOISE'S POV.Swollen, red eyes that burn like fire as I struggle to keep them open. Tear-stained cheeks and sirens spinning in my head. These are the aftermaths of crying myself to sleep last night. Well, this morning I would say. After that puzzling phone call, I called Logan and asked where Klein was. Logan said Klein joined Morgan at the last minute after arriving at the airport, but when I asked who the woman was, he said he was unaware of any woman present. Klein specifically told Logan to not follow him, so he didn’t know where he was afterwards.I even called my best friend, Maeve and asked her if she had any chance knowing where Klein went since she had some connections. But the answer was negative.A painful lump forms in my throat as I rise from the sofa I slept on last night, and see the decorations still hanging on the walls. The unused confetti's are still on the table where I placed them. Nothing has been touched. I prepared all these with so much love and I was excited

ELOISE’S POV.I’m still in shock as I watch Klein’s car drive out of the premises. Suddenly, my phone vibrates again and I notice that I hadn't realized messages and phone calls were coming in like floods from Maeve.I quickly unlock the phone and go through the messages.“What annoys me the most is the fact that Klein didn't even try to be cautious about his affair! He just shoved it in your face. Such disrespect!!”I can feel her rage in her words. I won't be surprised if there was smoke coming out of her ears when she was typing this. Maeve always treats my problems like they were hers. She'd get so upset, I would be the one to beg her to calm down.“I asked Klein and he said she was just his friend.” I write back to her and seconds later, she starts typing. Soon, her message comes in again.“Girl!! Do you hear what you are saying?? Don’t fall for men's lies!! They NEVER forget the ones they didn’t end up with . You gotta keep an eye on that chick. I swear she's after your man!”A

ELOISE’S POV.The world is fading in and out of focus, shades of grey. My mind is being tortured with the memory of the incident that took place in my husband’s office a while ago. Klein walked into his office and saw that two women were lying on the floor probably hurt and there was blood all over and he chose to rush over to check on the woman whom he claims to be his long-time friend and not me, his wife. As if that was not enough, he scolded me and asked his personal assistant to bring me to the hospital while he personally took the so-called friend of his to the hospital.I’m beginning to doubt everything he said to me that night at his parent’s house.Did nothing really happen between him and the girl at the hotel? He was drunk and I clearly recall that when I called, she was the one who answered his phone. The brief conversation I overheard between her and Morgan was spine chilling. He said something about her arrival rekindling old feelings or something of that sort. It felt

ELOISE’S POV.“Come in.” I signal when a gentle knock sounds on the room door. Immediately, the door is pushed open and a maid in uniform steps in.“Good evening, Mrs. Wesley.” She greets formally and makes her way over to the bed where I’m seated.“Good evening, Sophia.” I greet, not sparing her a glance because I know exactly why she’s here.“Ma’am it’s already ten pm and you still haven’t had dinner. You need to eat to be able to take your medication. Please.”I heave out a frustrated sigh and curse Logan under my breath. When he brought me home from the hospital, he completely went overboard by rallying all the household servants and telling them I was unwell and needed proper care and attention and since then, I have not rested. They keep checking up on me every now and then. A few of them even ganged up and bathed me because they didn’t want me wetting my wound. It’s a sweet gesture from my home employees and it proves how much they care about me, but right now, I’m too angry an

ELOISE’S POV.“I can’t tell if you’re being serious or sarcastic right now, Eloise.”“I’m being very serious. Does she qualify for the position as Director of Production of PHOROMA?” I ask, my voice sounding a lot more intense. I watch him chew the food in his mouth and swallow. A silent breath follows before he meets my gaze again.“What do you think?” I angrily slam my spoon against my plate and shoot him a heated glare.“Just answer the damn question, Klein. I don’t have time for your mind games tonight.”He looks at me long and hard, probably finding it hard to believe that I just used that tone on him.“You must have lost it if you think I’d hire someone without the right qualifications for such a vital position in the company.”“I thought there was going to be a vote or even if you had to appoint, you’d pick someone in the company. Someone who’s already versed with all the affairs of PHOROMA, and WESLEY Co. as a whole.” When I’m done talking, he gently drops his fork on his plat
