Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Brother My Mate : Kabanata 171 - Kabanata 180

Dawn's POVI walked into our room at the Alpha's house half expecting Asher to start talking and blaming me for what happened. I felt so ashamed of myself. We had gone to the pack hospital to get the wound on my neck cleaned and dressed. Asher had winced each time I hissed at the biting pain during the cleaning. On our way back to the house, Asher had held my hand tenderly. He hadn't said much to me so I didn't know what was on his mind. 'Let me get you water,' Asher said as he made me sit on the bed then turned to leave to get the water but I held his hand.'I am sorry Asher,' I said looking into his eyes. 'What are you sorry about Dawn?' Asher asked without blinking. I couldn't read his mind or guess what was going on in his mind. 'I am sorry for not listening to you. I am sorry for believing Diego and removing his chains,' I said as my eyes filled with tears. Asher stooped to my level on the bed and took my face in his hands, 'I am your mate Dawn and I can feel every emotion

Asher's POV'Be careful out there Asher,' Dawn said that morning as I left the Alpha house to meet the golden wolf soldiers that would be going with me to the council to escort the president and his mate to High Moon. 'I will be fine Dawn. Take care of yourself. I will be back soon,' I said kissing her on the head. When I got to the former Alpha house, the other golden wolf soldiers were already waiting for me so we set out immediately. I hand-picked fifteen golden wolf soldiers to make sixteen of us. Our journey to the council was uneventful and we saw nothing suspicious on the way so I reported back to Maureen. Maureen told me to seek out the president's mate when I get to the council. She also told me where she would be.When we got to the council, I went straight to the president's mate to inform her that we were ready whenever they were. I was stopped by a soldier when I wanted to enter the room but the moment I mentioned that I was from High Moon, I was let into the room. She

Maureen's POVThe moment I saw the way Rocha stood glued beside the president's older daughter, I knew he found his mate. I was elated for him. He had been through a rough patch in life protecting what he didn't know was real or not. He deserved all the happiness. 'I know we are not safe yet but I want to thank you so much for deeming it fit to be gracious my family Alpha,' the president said to the Alpha as we entered the house prepared specifically for the president's family. They were all drenched from the rain except the younger daughter. 'It is a pleasure, Your Excellency. Feel at home and you can banish the thought that you are not safe. I have soldiers on standby to parade this house to keep you and your family safe. 'It is obvious that your older daughter is mated to my team member so a threat to you is a threat to me. I take care of my own, Your Excellency,' I said looking at Rocha and Torrent's joined hands with a smile on my face. 'Your Majesty, please don't call me tha

Maureen's POV'They are fifteen minutes away from us,' Ian said, sweating profusely. He had run back to us from spying on the approaching council entourage. 'Who are those leading the war?' Dad asked. Dad and the Alpha had refused to back down from the battle. The Alpha had insisted saying it was his pack and he must fight to protect it. I understood his points so none of us argued with him. The traitors had declared war on his pack and he had to defend his honour. 'Rogues are leading the battle,' Ian snorted.'That is very manly of the new president. Rogues are leading the battle for the wolf council,' Lucia said bitterly.'Since he isn't a mere male, why is he not leading the battle against a mere female?' Dawn said hissing.'It is good that he will be eating his words soon enough. Get everyone ready general. They will soon be on us,' the Alpha said, addressing one of the High Moon's generals. All the golden wolf soldiers were ready. They had been standing since we got to the pl

Maureen's POVI watched as soldiers joined hands together to pack the dead wolves into a heap afar off from the field. They would be buried or burnt later, depending on what the High Moon generals deem fit. I stood up from where I had been sitting on a tree trunk for over thirty minutes. I didn't feel the pain in my chest anymore but I still felt sad. I didn't see Dominus and Lance at first where they stood with their faces looking grim. I frowned because of the look on their faces. I walked up to them and Dominus was startled as if he had been lost in thought. Lance hissed under his breath. I knew that frustrated gesture. He did that whenever he was hiding something that he thought you shouldn't find out for your good. Asher ran back from helping the soldiers and stopped where we were standing. He fidgeted for a while before he tried to excuse Lance. I looked at Dad and the Alpha to see they were in deep conversation. They were whispering but it was obvious that the subject was a
