Zalina leaned against the balcony enjoying the morning breeze. The recent happenings in the palace barely bothered her. In her opinion, they deserved whatever was happening to them if not worse. They couldn't keep her against her will, deny her access to her daughter, and expect to have peace. More was coming to them and she was going to enjoy every bit of it.Her eyes caught a familiar figure walking past her. Her eyes widened in realization. It was the girl. The same girl who came to inform her about her daughter's condition."Hey...give me a minute..." She yelled running downstairs. Freya stopped, wondering what the woman wanted from her. Zalina came running to her while she waited."It was you...." Zalina blurted breathlessly. It took Freya a few seconds to recognize her."Ma'am Zalina?" Freya called in surprise. Zalina nodded, trying to steady her breathing."But how.....what happened...." Freya voiced curiously."It's a long story. I just want you to do me this little favor". Ma

"Valentine" He called again and this time, she lifted her head to look at him."You shouldn't be here" He muttered and her eyes watered."Should I leave then?" Her voice cracked, giving away her emotions. She didn't want to deal with another rejection but right now, it seemed inevitable. His gaze softened as he looked at her."I'm not asking you to leave because I don't want you here. Truth be told, I need you. More than you may even realize but I don't want to hurt you. I no longer have control of my mind, Valentine. I can't even tell the things I do anymore. It'll be selfish to keep you here when..." She placed a finger on his lips."I don't care, Eric. If you need me as much as you claim you do, then let me stay with you please" She pleaded. He said nothing, instead he rested his head on her shoulder. She shivered as she felt his breath on her skin."Eric...." She muttered. He hummed a response. "Don't fall asleep on me. You're not exactly as light as you believe" She added and a l

Estel tapped her foot impatiently as she waited in the king's Chambers."What's keeping that old fool in the bathroom? I've got more important things too...." The opening of the bathroom door made her stop murmuring."My King" She bowed, with a plastic smile. A big smile spread across Edmund's face. This was the first time in months she'd been in his chamber."My beautiful Queen" He smiled, lifting her face. He kissed her lightly on the lips and Estel willed herself to stay still. He pulled away with a smile."I assume you're not here to spend the night then"."You have your mistress around, don't you?" She rolled her eyes. Edmund frowned at the statement."Is that what this is about? You didn't seriously come here to talk about Zalina" He sighed."No, I didn't come here for that but we will definitely have this conversation" she stated. Edmund stared at her wordlessly."Why are you here then?" He asked."Eric" She repli

Valentine couldn't have been happier than she was now. This man whom she'd longed for was right in her arms, begging to stay. Presently, she was braiding his hair and stealing a few kisses when she could. With the strong heat of passion between them, Valentine was surprised they hadn't taken each other by now. It warmed her heart though that what she shared with Eric wasn't just based on sex, even though she didn't exactly know if he felt the same towards her but they were making progress."The braids are too tight" He hissed."Really? I thought you liked it rough" She teased and he pushed his face upwards to stare at her with that mischievous glint in his eyes."Is that what we're doing now?" His tone was teasing and Valentine realised the double meaning to her words. She hit him playfully as her cheeks heated up."You're such a perverted mind, Eric"."What can I say? I'm not asexual not to think of you beneath those clothes even though I've had q

"Who killed Alana?" Iyaki asked and Eric's eyes widened with hurt and accusation. Iyaki scolded himself inwardly."You think I killed her? Do you believe I played a part in her death? I loved her, Yaki! How could you even....." Iyaki quickly placed a hand over his chest. Eric stiffened though his eyes were filled with rage."Calm down, Eric, calm down" He spoke softly and Eric's harsh breath began to relax. He did however shove the other man's hand away."I'm sorry I misinterpreted the situation but I assure you I have never for once considered you a murderer" Iyaki apologised. His tone gave out his remorse and Eric seemed to buy that."I'm not sure I want you to look at me that way. Even though I have indeed committed a few murders of my own kind" Eric spoke with a bitter smile. Iyaki's eyes narrowed."We understand you weren't in your right frame of mind and no one blames you for that. We can only mourn the losses and hope there won't be a repeat"."You have too much hope" Eric chuc
