The kiss starts out as a gentle caress of my lips by his, an obvious seduction by Asher. I know I’m being seduced but I don’t have the willpower to push away, I want to be seduced by him. His hands travel from my neck to the small of my back, holding me close to him. Without breaking the kiss, I cradle his face between my hands and deepen the kiss, slipping my tongue into his mouth and duelling with his. Asher groans and tightens his hold on me, squeezing me closer to himself. When it feels like we both can’t breathe, we break the kiss, gulping mouthfuls of air.“Don’t stop.” I whisper. He puts his hands under my thighs and stands, taking me with him from the chair while I wrap my arms around his neck. “Where’s your room?” My room? “There.” Asher carries me to my room and lays me gently on my bed then climbs in after me. I expect him to continue what we started in the living room but he just looks at me, brushing my hair out of my face. “What?” I whisper. “What’s on your mind?” He as

Ida is only able to attack Asher because we caught him unaware and unready, she knows this and is using it fully to her advantage. Ida is able to inflict more wounds to his chest before he is able to push her off and scramble to his feet. I see three deep gashes on his chest and blood pours out like a tap, staining his trousers and leaking onto my floor. The sight of his blood makes Ida giddy and she launches herself at him again. She knocks him down this time but he holds her head when she goes to bite him in the face.Asher holds her head, trying not to get bitten in the face or his neck by her razor sharp teeth. As Ida struggles to break his hold, his eyes go dark and then change into green and grey. One eye glows green and the other glows grey as his wolf makes an appearance. Ida steps back as Asher transforms into his wolf, the raven wolf from the woods. The wolf growls deeply and low then stalks Ida who takes several steps back from him. Then he pounces.I can’t see him coming a

“Hello? Is anybody there? Help me!” I scream but my own words echo back to me. “Please, let me go back home!” I say quietly, looking around my unfamiliar surroundings. I see nothing but trees and darkness, stretching for miles and miles ahead. “Alexa.” I hear someone whisper my name from the darkness. “Who is that? Help me!” “Why?” “What? I don’t understand.” A sudden burst of cold wind has me wrapping my arms around myself to try and stop my shivering.I make my way down the clear path that cuts through the woods, hoping it leads me out of this unsettling place. I can’t help but feel like I’m being watched as I walk down the road, past trees and more trees. It’s all around me and it is all that I can see. “Ida? Ida, please.” I call into the darkness but she doesn’t answer, I can’t feel my wolf with me.My feet stop moving when I spot a figure ahead of me. “Hello?” I call but the figure doesn’t answer, it doesn’t move either. I approach it cautiously then sigh in relief when I see tha

For a moment, the hall is silent as all eyes are on Dorothea standing in the doorway of the hall. “Thea!” It is then I notice Ares in the room. He rushes towards his daughter and pulls her into his arms, holding her tight. A soft smile lights up my face at the sight of the father-daughter reunion, it had been so long since they last saw each other. Asher is on his feet, watching the two of them.“Who is this, Ares?” Derek asks. “Forgive me, Alpha. This is my daughter, she’s been missing for almost a year now.” Ares says, his voice shaking with emotion as he wipes his eyes. “Congratulations on finding your missing daughter, General, but you do realize she has interrupted a very important and secret meeting.” Muriel says sounding sour. “Yes, what is your daughter doing here? What exactly does she have to say about the Luna?” Derek asks. All eyes turn to Dorothea. Your move, Dorothea.“Greetings to you Alpha, Luna, Beta, and the elders and important members of the pack. I am Dorothea Mad

“She’s pregnant?” I ask in shock Dorothea nods grimly. “How? Is that true? It can’t be true can it?” This can’t be. This was my chance to get my revenge on Liana, to throw her out just like I was thrown out but she was still here, she was still Luna and she was now the carrier of the alpha’s child, the alpha’s heir.“Don’t get too worked up Luna, the poison is still in your system. You were just stabilized right now. You need rest, nothing should trigger you.” Dorothea says soothingly while stroking my hair. The door opens and Hope walks in with Kylan following behind. When they see Dorothea, they bow in greeting. If anything good had come out of this botched operation, it was the fact that Dorothea was now recognized by the pack and would be safe from Liana. “I’ll see you later, Luna.” She says and then leaves me alone with Hope and Kylan.“Luna? Did she just call you Luna?” Kylan asks confused. “It’s nothing.” I say. “How are you feeling?” Hope asks. I nod. “My heart stopped beating
