Mason’s POV It has been seven long years since I left for the states to study. Honestly, I wasn’t too keen on coming back, but duty calls. It’s not like I don’t want to be Alpha it’s more that I crave my freedom. Running a pack is exhausting. The responsibilities, the politics, the expectations... it’s a boring life. Unfortunately, I’m the only son, which means I don’t have a choice. If only I had a younger brother, someone I could hand this burden to, I would have gladly stayed in the States, enjoying my freedom, living my life on my own terms. But there’s one thing that makes this return bearable, even exciting: finding my mate. I have a strong feeling my parents organized this welcome party and conveniently invited every unmated female from the surrounding packs, all in hopes I’ll find my Luna tonight. I’m turning eighteen, and according to the Moon Goddess, that’s the age mates can finally sense one another. If everything goes as planned, tonight might just change my life. I

Mason's POV I walk away from the girl, how did this happen, how did I get mated to such a girl? Is she even a woman, or a man in woman's clothes? I've never seen such an ugly woman before. She is so plain and boring. Goddess why? Who can she be? Is she some beggar who snuck into the palace for some reason? She definitely came for the food. That explains it, I mean did she even look at herself in the mirror before getting outside? I can never let anyone know about this. The universe must be playing a joke on me. I can't be with such a clown. I'm so sophisticated for someone like that, the moon goddess could have done better. Mason deserves to be with a goddess, not some lowlife. How can someone worthless be the Luna and my mate no way. Its just so disgusting. Why didn't I reject her right away though, and what is that I felt when she asked me to reject her? I felt my throat constricting, I was almost out of breathe. I literally couldn't breath. And her scent was mesmerizing, I

Raphael's POV Weirdly, as I am placing her on my bed, her eyes shoot open, pushing me away from her with all her might. I release the breath I've been holding for a long time. “Don't you dare come near me. I won't let you hurt me again.” She shouts, picking up a screwdriver which was lying on the bedside table. She seems to be in a daze so I take a step back, holding my hands forward in surrender. “Who are you.” She demands her eyes widening in fear and shock, tears escape her eyes as, she looks around my room. The screwdriver still held firmly in her tiny hands pointing it towards me. “Please don't harm me, I've had enough. Please stop.” She begs a drop of tear escaping from her puffy eyes. She must have been crying even before this. I wonder what happened to her, I've never really been concerned with other people's lives but seeing her like this, pulls something in me. It's strange but I want to protect her. I feel a tight lump in my throat at the realization tha

Mason's POV Aaaw! I had a wonderful night, though the party ended late, I feel like I slept for hours. I feel so much peaceful. I slowly open my eyes, adjusting to the morning light. I turn around, and the first thing I notice is warmth, a presence so close it prickles my skin. I freeze, I can't remember being in bed with anyone. My muscles tense, as my eyes snap, ignoring all the light that prickles them. What the fuck, beside me lies my supposed mate curled up beside me, her figure so relaxed as if the bed is hers. I sit slowly not to wake her, my heart is pounding so hard, I'm so furious right now. What the hell is she doing here? She looks so calm. Too calm. As if she doesn’t know how much I despise her, I thought I made it clear when I threw her out of my room last night, what more does she want with me? She’s everything I hate, everything, I can’t stand, and yet… she’s here. I look at her again and something flickers in me, I shove it right down because I can't

Beatrice's POV I open my eyes and I find myself in a strange place, I'm lying on some soft fabric facing up, the room smells so heavenly, and my heart seems so heavy. I wonder what happened, I'm glad when I see a familiar face right next to me. With the same concern I know. I'm about to smile when I hear Mason's voice. “Finally you opened your big eyes. What was all that?” He asks in anger and so much disgust. If I didn't know him well, I would think he is concerned for me or something like that. I don't expect anything from him though, after how he treated me. But what is my Hazel eyed man doing here? I have got to stop calling him that. Maybe I should call him my saviour. I turn to face my savior, ignoring Mason completely. He has really hurt me, and now that he is Alpha, I'm sure he will hurt me even more every chance he gets. “What was all that drama.” he asks in his Alpha tone, making me turn to look at him. Its a tone that demands submission no matter what. I w
