Author’s povStanding beside the throne was Tobias. As he watched the Princess of the Pack walk in with all her glory and grace, he couldn't help but smile as she waved at him. She always did that whenever she was summoned into the meeting room to join in with the meeting. She would always wave at Tobias like they were so close. But before Tobias could wave back at her, the Alpha also stepped in as everyone bowed to him while the Princess hummed a song, going to her seat as she sat down. Something about her always intrigued Tobias. Even though he had promised himself that he wouldn't be too friendly with her. Even though she was a very innocent soul who always tried her best to get into a conversation with him, he always found one reason or another to push her away. As he stared at Lily, biting on her pain, feeling a bit frustrated and lost in thought, he couldn't help but remember that he was solely sworn to protect the family of the Alpha from one generation to another. Not just him

Lily’s POVI couldn't help but stare at Tobias as he continued talking. I felt so frustrated as I rolled my eyes and laid back on the bed. Even though I could feel the intensity between the both of us, I just waved that aside. I felt even more frustrated that I had to be pretending like I did not want to be with someone I would love. Look at the way I was acting. Like if I was with someone different, I wouldn't mind. But meanwhile, it would just make my life so boring. As I had a sigh of annoyance thinking about my life so far, my mom was dead, same with my dad. I was left with my brother, who was so busy being the Alpha; he never had my time. Even his wife never even gave me a chance to speak. She always limited all my assets, always acting like I was just a small child who needed scolding, who needed to be protected. I couldn't even say I wanted to go out on a girls' night. It could never be possible. I always had to be protected by one person or another. And it really frustrated me

Author’s POVEven though Tobias had engaged in a lot of reckless behavior, he was not as young as Lily. He had had fun with different women multiple times before, so a female kissing him should not have shocked him in any way. But he was fully immersed in the moment, experiencing total intensity. As he kissed her, his soul could not help but beg for more. It felt like her lips were becoming more tantalizing with each passing second. He continued to suck on and nip at her lips with all he had in him. He had waited for this moment ever since he had watched her grow up; he had always wanted her in his arms, naked. He did not care whether the water was cold or whether she might be uncomfortable. His wolf had taken over—or should he say, they both had. Their wolves were eager to devour each other. They continued kissing for nearly ten minutes, only separating when Lily finally grew tired. But that did not mean Tobias would let go. Neither did it mean that Lily was satisfied, as she slowly

Author’s POVAfter Tobias received his warning from the Alpha, he decided to change his approach. He resolved to keep his distance from Lily and protect her from afar. That was the only way everything would work out perfectly for him. If he kept trying to get close to her, things would only continue to spiral out of control. He could not accept that. It had now been over three weeks since the incident with Lily, and they had not really seen each other except in the meeting room. From time to time, when he had to protect her from a distance, she also knew she had to keep her distance from him.Meanwhile, throughout those three weeks, Tobias made sure to restrain himself from the letter she had given him. He tried his best not to touch it whenever he saw it. Even though he missed Lily so much and longed for her touch, he knew he had to hold it in, or he would lose everything. He was not ready to sacrifice his position just for Lily. Until tonight. He decided to read the letter. After s

Author’s POVTobias and Lily had just finished their intimate encounter. As Tobias sat on the bed wearing only his shorts, Lily lay beside him, feeling as if she were on top of the world. She couldn’t help but giggle to herself, reveling in the fact that she had truly been with Tobias. It felt as if she could continue this forever. However, she sensed that Tobias was filled with regret. She stood up and began to put her nightdress and jacket back on. Tobias looked at her with a frown. “Why do I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen? Why did you have to force me into this?” he said, his voice tinged with concern.Lily laughed lightly. “I didn’t force you to do anything. This was mutual; we couldn’t keep away from each other. Were you really enjoying starving your wolf? Because I certainly wasn’t. That’s why I had no choice. Besides, I love you too much to stay away. I begged you to claim me, but you refused. So I decided to seal the bond with you. This way, no one else c
