“What the hell do you want?” Julia fumed as she clenched her fists.“I-I can explain. This was not how I expected it to turn out.” Jason told her.Julia was still surprised–no, she was shocked to see him after all that had happened.“Did you actually get married?” she asked him.“Julia, I–” “–give me an answer!” she interrupted with a yell.“Yes–no, I–mean–I did not marry her.” he stammered.“Liar!” “Believe me, Julia.” the young man said as he trembled. He was scared that he might just lose the girl he had come to love. The mere thought of that terrified him.“You are a liar, a cheat!” Julia told him, she paused, then added, “how do you explain the lady I saw, her son, and the fact that she knew the password to your house!”“Believe me, Julia.” Jason begged. “We met on a date, which ended in a one-night stand.”Julia scoffed. “Jason–”Jason ignored her and went on to say, “I thought it was over, that we would never see each other again, until she called to tell me she was pregnant

Julia was terrified as she stood alongside Donatello. The latter, on the other hand, gripped her hand tightly and caressed it gently to calm her down. When Julia tried to steal a glance at him, she noticed his calm demeanor. He appeared unconcerned, as if he were planning his escape.Marcello was soon to arrive with the men which was enough to buy him some time. “You have enough guts to apprehend one of my men.” Marco started.Donatello abruptly raised his gaze to his rival and smirked. It had been months but the man had not changed a bit. He was still the same childhood friend he had known him to be, except that he was not worthy of being called a “friend”.“You also have the guts to capture what is mine.” Donatello shot back despite his tied hands. He had allowed them to take advantage of him. But only for a short time; he wanted his rival to believe he had won.“Do you think I had given up when I ran away?” the man paused, then scoffed, “You must have thought that since the gover

The next few weeks were filled with work for Julia. She was beginning her life anew with no danger lurking around like before.Marco, and most of his men had been dealt with including some of Martin's men. Marco was said to have been killed on the spot, but nothing else was heard about him.Marcello on his own part, was gradually rehabilitating at the hospital. He had been kept there after recovery as per his Donatello’s order.Martin was diagnosed with infective endocarditis, an infection of the heart valves and that was the reason behind the bloody coughs and tightened chest feeling. He had always thought that he would get better if he took his pills which he always takes, but what he did not know was that Marco had conspired with the doctor to change the pills. The latter had confessed this to him before his death, making it even more unbelievable to Martin.“His lack of proper treatment has led to heart damage and we can only perform surgery and wait for him to recuperate.” the do

Julia was finally back at the Rossini's mansion. It was unbelievable to her and the entire household, particularly Mrs. Lorenzo, who kept casting glances at her. This time, she was not a servant, but rather someone important to the boss. His girlfriend. It had been made official, having been agreed upon by both parties.Donatello could not believe he had finally been tied down by a lady. It had been the last thing he had ever wanted, but here he was holding her by the waist as she strutted into the large living room. When Julia stepped into the centre of the vast area, she could feel past memories returning back to her. And now she reasoned it, she realized that she had not really been treated badly. Even though her stay was filled with animosity toward the boss, she was able to create tangible memories.“Here, let me assist you, ma'am.” Paloma spoke as she collected Julia's handbag.“There is no need for these formalities.” Julia reminded her, “We are still friends, remember?”“You d
