Lahat ng Kabanata ng Alpha's Rejection: My Mate Has A Son: Kabanata 151 - Kabanata 160

Samantha's POV"Alaric..." I called, my voice barely above a whisper. The moment the door had opened, the night's breeze swept his scent strongly across me. I had to hold steady because I felt so lightheaded, and his eyes mirrored my feelings. We both stared at each other, just frozen, lost in our gazes."Where's Adrian?" I asked, blinking and snapping out of his ensnaring eyes, those beautiful and irresistible eyes of his. He blinked too, as if returning to reality."He's asleep," he answered, but his eyes never dropped. His stares were always intense. I knew as an Alpha, eye contact asserted dominance, so he was used to doing it. I didn't have a problem having eye contact with any other person, but when it came to Ric, it was difficult. 'It takes time, Samantha, and I mean look at those eyes. Who would be able to resist that?' Ariana said. She had been so happy ever since we found out Alaric did not betray us and we confessed our feelings to each other."You should come in," he sa

Samantha's POVLily had been serious about her threat, and Alaric's father had called urgently to inform him that he was returning to the pack.We had to prepare a ball to welcome him. Luna Tamia had already known about Adrian because she had called Alaric and me for a meeting. She didn't seem angry; she just accepted it, to our surprise. She was more worried about Alpha Kael's reaction. He was to return to the pack in a week time. As protocol, we had to prepare a ball to receive him.I had not gotten enough time to think or choose what to wear. I went to the boutique to get a dress for myself and ended up getting nothing."This should be nice." I raised a dress up, covering my view of Adrian, who was sitting opposite me on the bed. He quickly shifted the dress to peek at me, giving me that gaze that said he couldn't believe me right now."You wore that before for your welcome ball." I raised a brow, hissing at him at the same time. My shoulders fell defeated. This wasn't the help I h

Samantha's POV"Can you?" I said, still with that soft tone.Alaric let out a huge sigh, one that showed he was restraining himself."Sure." The rumble from his voice got me trembling with fear, wondering if I had taken things too far. I inhaled deeply, feeling the shadow of his hand over my back, and then, he touched me.His fingers brushed gently against the fabric as he found the zipper, then slowly zipped my clothes up.Alaric stood up behind me, and I sucked in a breath, but then I shuddered as his hands trailed my curves slightly. He stifled a sound before he leaned down and whispered against my ear. "All done," he said and dropped a kiss on my hair. I shut my eyes from the wave of heat that still lingered from his touch."Thank you," I said, my voice wavering. I turned to look at him to see his reaction for myself. His stare. It was needy and dangerously restrained.I definitely did something with that."You good?" I asked. I was really pushing it."Hmm..." He hummed, the thick

Alaric's POV I had released my father's council upon my father's arrival to the pack. My defiance was long overdue, and I knew we needed them present for whatever my father had to say about getting back with Samantha. I had submitted updated reports to him as he demanded as well. First was the report of the cure and the trial of the final phase with little side effects. He was impressed by Samantha's intelligence. I also gave him the updated reports about our earlier tracking of the rogues to Greyfur Pack. Erin had been the representative sent to them, and after investigations by the Alpha of Greyfur, we received reports that there was no such suspicious presence in the pack. Of course, I didn't believe it, so I doubled the spies sent to infiltrate Greyfur Pack. The welcome ball for my father had been organized, and as expected, the hall was filled with nobles of the pack, expensive outfits, jewelry, and colognes that adorned them. Everyone was dressed to impress to the point i

Alaric's POVThe silence that settled throughout the hall was even more deafening than any noise could cause. Then gradually the voices rose; people began to murmur amongst themselves, but I couldn't quite believe what I just heard or even saw right now.The reason my dad had been away from the pack all these years without my mother was because he had been with his fated mate, and they both shared a son. The omega I had thought of all these years as an ordinary member of the pack.I was shocked beyond the words I could express, and pain hit me strongly. I felt all sorts of things: hurt, betrayal, anger. I raised my head to look at my father, seeing him for the evil he truly was. All these years he had let my mum suffer in loneliness while being accompanied by his true mate? Did he even reject her, just as he had forced me to reject Samantha? All this time, he was the real coward. The hypocrite. So he made me sacrifice six years of my life with Lily. But what was even more shocking was
