Lahat ng Kabanata ng One Nightstand With My Ex's Uncle : Kabanata 101 - Kabanata 110

LUCAS’ POV.“This tastes good.” Derel said, savoring his latte.“Don’t try to change the topic, Derel. I brought you here to this fancy café, so you can feel comfortable and talk to me.” I said, spooning cake into my mouth.“Well, it’s not much. We just dated briefly.”“When was that?” I asked, leaning backwards.“Maybe a year ago?”“So? How did you meet her?”“She was in her senior year back then, about to graduate. So we dated briefly.”“Anything sketchy about her?”“Sketchy?”“Does she take drugs, do things that students shouldn’t?”“No.”“Then, what’s the red flag about her?”“Why are you so interested in her?”“Because I get a bad feeling whenever I see my influencers, but I can’t pick out who is giving off the evil vibe.”“Well, she was possessive, toxic, and sometimes, she tried to hit me. I don’t know if she was a druggie, but she drank and smoked a lot.” He said, and I raised a brow.“Did your sense of reason not have a role to play in you not dating such a girl?”“Well,

LUCAS’ POV.She took in deep breaths, after spitting out the words she looked like she regretted saying.Seeing that I was no longer fighting to get her off me, she let go of my leg slowly, and remained on her knees, with lowered lashes.“Someone is planning to bring my family down through Derel.” I said, wanting her to confirm or repeat what she had said.“I… I wasn’t going to involve myself in it, or wrap myself up in all that mess, but maybe I have to. I really want to stay in the company.” She said, still staring at the floor.I bent and looked at her.“Look at me.” I said, and she raised her wet lashes. In her terrified, yet desperate eyes, I saw the sincerity.“Follow me.” I said, getting up. I took my winter coat off the hanger, and put it on. She seemed unsure whether or not to follow me, but she followed either way. As I walked past employees, I began to wonder how many of them were actually haters of the Grangers.Only when we were safely seated in the café did I feel co

LUCAS’ POV.I walked to it, and picked the first one up. It was one of Derel going to school. Derella had been cropped out because the only part of her which I could see was her wrist. The wrist that carried her treasured bracelet.I checked more of the photos, and they all had Derel in them. Some were the ones he had taken himself, or had taken with the help of professional photographers. While the majority were photos of him unaware. It seemed to me that they had been watching, and taking pictures of him unawares.“What are these?” I asked, holding up the photos. Mina bit her lip, looking busted. So Tenor had actually been right? I dropped the photos on the desk, and saw a few envelopes.I picked those up too, and opened a few of them.*Your smile is as radiant as the sun, Derel. Very soon, I’ll gather the courage to come to you.*In the same envelope was a photo of Derel smiling brightly.*Seeing you today, playing basketball was too much for my heart. Each time you threw the b

LUCAS’ POV.“What!?” I asked, and ended the call. How could pornographic pictures of Derel be spread across the net? Why would Derel even have such pictures in the first place? I didn’t even need to do much on my phone before I saw the news headline. It was trending.I clicked on the pictures, with my heart pounding in my ears, and couldn’t believe my eyes. It was disgraceful, disgusting, and unbelievable. The pictures were so much, and the faces of all the different girls were blurred. Only his face, and the immoral acts were shown clearly.“This can’t be.” I said, with a voice that trembled. This was what Tenor meant when she said she heard someone wanting to take down the family through Derel.Well, they had really done their best. Our image had suffered a really huge hit. The Alphas of other packs were definitely bound to discuss among themselves, against us, and if they happened to get too strong, they could diminish our influence.“Damn, damn, damn, Derel, damn.” I muttered,

LUCAS’ POV.“This is a crime, you know?” I shouted to stop them all bickering. They stopped abruptly, looking at me with fear.“If I find that you have something to do with this crazy sexual deep fake, then you will regret it. Trust me when I say you will regret it. You might end up having no jobs forever, and live on the streets begging from house to house, and you might as well spend your life in prison with heavy labor. But if you come out now, take the photos down, and apologize to Derel, my family and the media, then I can reconsider.” I said menacingly, and they looked at each other.“But why are you so convinced one of us did it?” Paris asked.“Because someone told me that one of you has come here for the sole reason of causing my family distress.” I answered, and the annoying silence continued. “Is anyone not willing to talk!?” I bellowed, and Jenny dropped to the floor, holding her chest. It took a minute before we realized she was having a panic attack, due to the fear.
