Kira’s POV
A jackhammer. There had to be a jackhammer pounding in my head this very second. That could be the only explanation for this horrendous aching. My body felt like it had been trampled by a stampede. My head pounding, stomach twisting with nausea, and cold sweat clinging to my skin.
I groaned, forcing myself to sit up, and that’s when realization hit me like a slap to the face.
This was not my room.
Panic crawled up my spine as my eyes darted around the space. It was too big, too luxurious, too pristine to be mine. The dark floor-to-ceiling curtains kept the room dim, adding to the eerie feeling of unfamiliarity. There were no personal belongings, no pictures—just a perfectly neat, almost sterile environment.

I took a deep breath, gripping the doorknob tightly before slowly pushing it open. Stepping inside, I gently shut the door behind me, but the moment my gaze landed on the triplets, my soul nearly left my body.
Alpha Darius stood near the window, his arms crossed over his shirtless broad chest, his piercing gaze locked onto me. Alpha Damien lounged on the couch, one leg casually resting over the other, but there was nothing relaxed about him—his eyes burned with anger, and his fingers tapped rhythmically against the armrest.
And then there was Alpha Dane. He stood closest to me, leaning against the door frame as if he had been waiting for me. His brown eyes were filled with rage, his entire body tense, as though he was one breath away from exploding.
I swallowed hard, feeling trapped.
Three pairs of eyes bore into me, their anger suffocating the air in the room. My mind screamed at me to leave, to turn around and bolt, but my body refused to move.

As soon as the guards dragged her away, a restless feeling surged through me. I kicked a stool across the room, frustration seething inside me. Running a hand through my hair, I exhaled sharply. God! I was losing my mind, and the furious howls of my wolf only made it worse.
I wanted to scream. To demand answers. To call for the guards and order them to hunt down the bastard who had dared to date Kira. Everyone in this pack knew she belonged to us—not as a lover, but as our slave. So who was the fool reckless enough to claim her? To touch her.
I clenched my fists, forcing myself to stay calm. I couldn’t let my brothers suspect a thing. If they saw me reacting the way I truly wanted to, they would know. And I could never allow that. They could never find out that Kira was my mate.

“She is waking up.”

The voice was faint, distant, as if coming from underwater. My head throbbed as I struggled to force my heavy eyelids open. It took a few seconds before my vision cleared, and that was when I noticed the pack healer seated in front of me, looking relieved.


I furrowed my brows, confusion settling in. Why was she here?


“Can you hear me?” she asked softly.


Instead of answering, I shifted my gaze around the unfamiliar room, my confusion deepening. This wasn’t my room. Before I could register where I was, my heart nearly stopped when my eyes landed on him.

“Stop staring at them.” Alpha Leo leaned down and whispered into my left ear when he noticed me stealing glances at them. Not that I could help it. The triplets sat just a table away from us, and their eyes were glued to me. They weren’t even trying to hide it.
Swallowing hard, I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and looked up at Alpha Leo, who had a blank look on his face.
“Did you tell them I was coming to this auction with you?” I asked curiously. From the way they were staring, they seemed dumbfounded to see me here.
“No, I didn’t,” Alpha Leo plainly replied, and I gasped.
I gasped. “You…” My voice rose slightly before I caught myself and quickly lowered it. “You didn’t?” I whispered in disbelief. I had assumed he told them, maybe even asked for their permission. But he hadn’t.
Leo narrowed his eyes at me. “Why should I tell them?”
