Raven’s POVI sat still on the edge of my bed, the message carved into my arm glowing faintly in the moonlight. “The storm is coming.” My fingers hovered over the wound, not touching it but feeling every pulse of pain shoot up to my shoulder. It was no dream.“What the fuck are you?” I muttered, my eyes never leaving it. At least I figured out how the message appeared on my arm, although I still had no idea how my other hand betrayed me and carved a horror story theme on my arm. “What do you think it is?” Leslie asked. “If I had figured that out, I wouldn't have spent the last two days staring at my arm.”“You should talk to someone,” she suggested and I was getting tired of hearing that song because we both knew the next line that came after that and that was ‘No’“And tell them what? That I carved this shit on my arm in my sleep? Yeah, that sounds normal.”“It's worth a chance.”“It's probably nothing.”“I'm your wolf you can't lie to me.”“Raven,” a voice said behind me.I flinch

Kai’s POVI left the palace as soon as I heard Raven was poisoned. The palace was thrown into chaos, just big enough for me to slip out unnoticed. I had to get to the border before anyone realizes I'm missing, and by anyone I mean Damien who has been spying on me lol a fool. After a few hours of endless walking, I finally got to the place I was supposed to meet with the man my father sent. A man stepped out from behind the trees. He looked older than I remembered. He was one of my father's trusted and loyal servants and also one of the people who hated me. He hated the way I do things, the way I talk, the way people fear and praise me and most importantly he hated me for taking his daughter's virginity. Not my fault though, she was very attractive and she wanted it more than I did. “Kai,” he said, smiling as he walked toward me. “It’s good to see you again.”That's a lie. And yeah, I almost forgot, he hated me because his son's wife fell in love with me and tried to kill her husb

Raven's pov. I woke up with the sound of the morning birds' song drifting in, the beautiful glow of the sunlight was the first thing my etss recognized, I could hear faint whispers of maids moving around and of course, the fresh scent of morning bread filled the air. My eyes slowly swept through the room before landing on Damien who was seated across the room, his head facing the ceiling. I couldn't tell if he was asleep or not but I was relieved to see him by my side. I opened my mouth but no words came out, I was still so weak but luckily Damien eyes flew open, his facial expressions flickered to shock, seeing me awake. “Raven?” He called, moving closer to me. “Raven,” he called again, as if checking if he wasn't daydreaming. My lips curled into a faint smile as tears flowed out. He rushed to hug me but stopped immediately. I struggled to get up even though all my body screamed in pain. Damein helped me up, stacking some pillows behind me. “You are okay,” he muttered, but it

Raven’s POV. My birthday came faster than I was prepared for it. My mother as usual threw a big party that would leave the villagers talking for a while. And the guests got the memo. They were all dressed in shining dresses and robes, one that hid their primitive nature. The people were dancing and laughing as the music played softly in the background. I stood at the far corner of the hall, my eyes sweeping through the crowd. I inhaled deeply as my eyes landed on my mother, who looked much younger than her age. She looked extremely happy, as she talked to some of the guests. The people were used to talking to her instead of me. I was about to sneak out of the hall when I heard a familiar voice behind me. I let out a loud scoff. “Happy birthday, Alpha Rowan!” he said. I turned to him. “Alpha Milak.”He nodded, standing beside me now. “It was at this spot I stood when you collapsed,” he pointed his goblet towards the door. “You vomited blood, a lot of blood.”“Yeah, I remember,

Raven’s POVI stood at the window, my arms crossed, watching the moonlight pour over the palace gardens, the wind brushing past me. I inhaled deeply watching the fireflies, flying freely in the garden, they had nothing to think about. In my next life, I want to be a bird or a firefly. “And lose me?” Leslie gasped.“Yeah, especially you.” “You know you can't do anything without me, I'm your better half.”“You are the reason I'm in this state,” I spat. “If you didn't keep pestering me to accept Kai, I wouldn't be in this state.”“You were the one who fell in love with him, not me,” she defended. Gosh, I wish I could just trade her for a loaf of bread. A soft knock on my door drew my attention. I picked up my coat and walked to the door. Damien's lips curled into a smile as soon as I opened the door. “Hey.”“What are you doing here? I frowned. “I knew you would still be awake,” he said confidently. I rolled my eyes, letting out a frustrated sigh. “What do you want?” “I wanted t
