Lahat ng Kabanata ng Secret Marriage To My Brother's Best friend : Kabanata 231 - Kabanata 240

Nelson He knew that he had made some mistakes. Nelson actually thought though, that he and Cassandra could get through it all and go on. They had been married for five years and in that time, he’d gotten to know his wife quite well. She was what many people would call a bleeding heart. She had always forgiven him in the past, all except that one time he told her that he had cheated on her. Of course, he had done it more than once, but it had taken her months to talk to him after she had found out and when she had finally said something, it was more or less her wish for a divorce because things were never going to be right between them. Naturally, that was not at all what he had wanted to hear. Once again, she had given him another answer that Nelson thought was poorly thought out. While Cassandra was convinced that she wanted a divorce, he knew that she didn't. She just needed some more time to recover. At least that's what he kept telling himself. So, when Cassandra told him off a

Steven Cassandra stayed for a little while, but he insisted that she go home. It was fire they were playing with, and Steven had never been that stupid. He knew better than to tempt the fates most of the time. It was hard for him to focus on much of anything with Cassandra around. He’d been doing so well, keeping away, until he wasn’t. Now he was off the wagon, and it appeared he had given up on actually getting back on it. Cassandra was his drug and he needed her like an addict. He cornered her by the door and kissed her deeply before she left. “Aren’t you going to tell me that this was a mistake and that you want to keep your distance again?” Cassandra asked. Steven disagreed, “I never want to say that to you. This isn’t a mistake, but it’s going to nevertheless hurt Luke. I think we both know that’s true.” Cassandra didn’t answer out loud, but she nodded her head. There was no question as to how it would all end. Luke was either going to forgive them or he wasn’t. Neither on

Steven Since Nelson was dying to tell his secret, Steven was of a mind that it would be better if he went to him first. He had to tell Luke that he had broken his promise. It was probably the last thing that he wanted to do. Steven had always been a man of his word and when it finally counted, he had messed it all up. He was very aware of his failure, and admitting to it was not going to be easy. When he tried to get ahold of him, he was busy or something because he couldn't get an answer when he called. Of course, Steven was relieved, even though he knew it was something that had to be done. Having to do something and wanting to do something were two very different things. So instead, he went to talk to Cassandra. She had told him that she didn't have too much work, and he was hopeful that she would be able to give him some time. She worked a lot, but so did he, so Steven saw that as a good thing. It was inconvenient sometimes now when neither had much time and he wanted to see

Cassandra She read the text again, this time out loud so that it would have some real context. Every time she read it though, it didn't make any sense. “I told your brother. I hope he has the same response as he did with me. Only seems fair. Just remember, Cassandra. You brought this on yourself.” What did she bring on herself? Cassandra had to figure it out and each time she read it, she was even more confused than the last. She wasn’t confused on what he was talking about and what he had apparently done. That was easy enough to understand. What she didn’t get was how he had found out or why he just all of a sudden did it. There had to be a reason. She had no warning, and something felt off. Either way though, it was going to make everything more complicated because what they had tried to avoid, had happened. Steven said it would. Nelson had told Luke about them, so Luke had found out in the worst way possible. She hoped that there was a way to mend what was going to be broken bet

StevenLuke hit like a hammer. Steven already knew that. He’d wrestled with Luke for years, and even threw a few punches when they were younger. He knew he hit hard, but to feel it in full force was not exactly what Steven had expected. He hadn’t expected his head to snap back and the pain to flood through him so quickly. If it was only the one, Steven likely would have been able to let it go. He didn’t want to fight with Luke, but he was hit three more times in quick succession, so it was becoming clear that he needed to get himself together. He blocked the next hit, and Cassandra’s voice screeching for them to stop it made him think twice about hitting Luke. He wasn’t trying to hurt him. At that point, he was just trying to make sure that Luke didn’t hit him again. He was hitting like a ton of bricks, and Steven didn’t know how many more times he was going to be able to deal with it.Luke hit him again while he was trying to convince Cassandra that it was going to be okay. “Now look
