The hall would have rivaled the space of the throne room had it not been for a long dark wooden table that sat in the middle. There were chairs lining up and down both sides. I counted more than fifty before I was led far away from the door and the safety of the hallway. It was three days later. I was rolling around on Nok’s bed feeling the cramps of hunger and the desperation for just a morsel of food. I hadn’t just refused to eat I refused to attend any dinner. The next day Nok objected again to me leaving but I had no choice. I just blew him a kiss and went on my merry way.
