《Trapped by the Mafia Boss》全部章節：第 21 章 - 第 30 章

Ruiz Giovanni ~•~ Throughout the lunch, I knew I was going to get a lecture from Mama about Ava. I was taken aback by her behavior in front of my family. As soon as Ava excused herself, mama cleared her throat and began. “Is that the medical doctor? Are girls who act that way allowed in medical school?” I stifled back a laugh but I couldn’t lie, the statement was funny. I was as surprised as my mama was about Ava’s behavior. It was as though she was acting that way to provoke me. She wanted to get a reaction from me in front of my family. Although they already knew how ruthless I was when it came to other people, I didn’t act out in front of them. Even if everyone was scared of me, I couldn’t live with myself if my siblings were also scared of me. Another reason I wanted Ava to act as my girlfriend was because I wanted to prevent questions from my mama when she arrived. I couldn’t tell them the true story about Ava. Mama wasn’t going to approve and would try convi

Ava Martinez ~•~ The fire alarm went off and I ran to the back of the gate as fast as my legs could carry me. Initially, I hesitated to touch the fence, fearing that the electrical outlet might be live. But when I realized I didn’t have much time, I took a deep breath and touched it quickly. Relieved it wasn’t electrified, I attempted to climb, despite my lack of skill. I heaved myself up and rolled over to the top, landing on the other side, outside the house My legs were shaking and my breathing was labored. I had no idea what was happening at the gate and I was scared that I was going to get caught. I brought out my phone from my pocket and texted Bonnie to let her know I had successfully jumped outside. I waited impatiently, hoping she would drive past as planned. It took about five minutes before I saw a car driving in my direction. I had already lost hope and thought I was busted when I heard Bonnie’s familiar voice. “Martinez!” She yelled and parked the car

Ava Martinez ~•~ Throughout the night, I struggled to sleep but I just couldn’t do it. My mind kept wandering back to my siblings and how I would protect them. Ruiz wasn’t going to give up without a fight. He would do everything in his power to find and punish me. I needed to be smart and fast. When the sun came up, I turned to Bonnie who was sleeping peacefully. “Bonnie, wake up! Wake up!” I tapped her gently. Bonnie groaned and pushed my hand away. “Can I sleep for five more minutes?” She pleaded in a slightly groggy voice. There was no time to waste. We needed to the fast if we wanted to leave the country without Ruiz finding us. “No, Bonnie, you’ll sleep on the plane.” Bonnie let out a loud yawn and sat upright on the bed. “Alright, I’m up.” She said with a sleepy voice. “I’ll have a quick shower and we’ll be on our way.” She forced a smile and made her way to the bathroom. While she was having a shower, I pulled out my phone and called my abuelita. “He

Chapter 27 Ava Martinez ~•~ I expected Ruiz to be in the dining room but to my surprise, he wasn’t sitting at his usual spot. It was only Maria present with different kinds of dishes on the table. “Where is Ruiz?” I asked Maria as I settled down on the empty chair opposite her. I let out a satisfied smile as the aroma of the food filled the air. I couldn’t wait to start eating because my stomach was growling as I hadn’t had anything to eat throughout the day. “He ate dinner early,” Maria said and I nodded. I fixed myself a plate and we both ate in silence until Maria finally spoke again. “So what is your story?” She asked and I lifted my head from my plate. Letting out a deep sigh, I cleared my throat and began. “Ruiz murdered my parents, shot my siblings - but it turned out it was mild and he actually saved them, then he took me and forced me to stay here with him.” Maria listened attentively, her eyes widened in shock as I spoke. “That is my story.” I drop

Ava Martinez ~•~ One would think I was insane for hanging out and laughing with the man who murdered my parents and the other man who offered to kill me. But I knew exactly what I was doing. And yes, I wasn’t insane. If I wanted to be free from Ruiz’s clutches, I needed him to be able to trust me. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy for several reasons. Firstly, I was certain Ruiz didn’t trust anybody, given his line of work. Secondly, I didn’t know how long I would be able to pretend before my facial expressions would sell me out. Either way, I was still determined to gain his trust. I had great plans for my life and it didn’t involve being trapped by Ruiz Giovanni. Throughout the night, I couldn’t help but notice the random glances from Ruiz. I could tell that he was shocked by my recent behavior. For someone who hated him and his best friend, I was pretty comfortable around them. I mean, I was just very good at pretending. He suspected me but he couldn’t sa
