Lahat ng Kabanata ng THE GLASS WIFE; the storm he built himself : Kabanata 131 - Kabanata 140

ELIOT’S POV “El,” “El…” “Oh God, El!” Her voice trembled, nails digging into my back as I rammed back in. Almost coming undone from hearing her call me that. “El, please. Please!” her head fell back. Lips parted open, thighs wrapped tight around my waist. Ass in the air, taking me in. All of me. Loving and appreciating as I held her neck down, giving her just what she pleaded for. “What do you want?” I teased her, “What do you want, Serena? Say it.” “I…” “Say it. I want to hear it.” “I want… ohhh, I want…I’m close!” She clenched even more, her insides sucking me in like fucking electricity. Shooting throughout my veins immense blood-flow and pleasure that just seemed to drive me nuts more and more as I watched her go crazy again. The third orgasm from this deliciously unforgettable moment we were having! “Fuck. Fuck!” I groaned out, not holding back either as I gave her my all. Holding tighter behind her neck, my hand on her left thigh as we rolled it all out. Everything. “Eli

SERENA’S POV “Breaking News! Following an anonymous financial irregularity report, an investigation was launched against MackWell Holdings and Foundation— one of the top 10 celebrated conglomerates in the city. And it was found guilty of fraud, corruption and a series of falsified reports.” What? I paused. Mug half way to my lips, the sweet scent of heated milk drifting to my nose as I stared in front of me. The Tv screen there, the news and words leaving the news anchor's lips. “According to leaked documents obtained overnight, years of financial manipulation, illegal labor deals, and political bribery was found linked directly to Chairman Victor Mackwell. Even more disturbing—investigators confirm that the Mackwell Family Foundation, long praised for funding women’s shelters and rehabilitation programs, was secretly used to launder money and silence harassment victims within the company. One of those victims, Judith Avery, died under suspicious circumstances. Her recovere

SERENA'S POV“Arrest them. Arrest them all. Everyone that touched that money.” a comment agreed with me. Making me smile as I read through some more, my neck tucked into a comfortable pillow. Body all curved up on a side of the bed, sheets white as snow. Soft. Comfy. Relaxing. Just as I’d felt.“The Mackwells all acted so-high and mighty every time, this should teach them a lesson or two.”“Can’t believe they’ve been scamming their way through the society for years! Leading to a person’s death. Arrest them all!”“First the illegitimate crazy daughter stunt, and now money laundering? Fraud? Can’t believe we were busy chasing the wrong person initially, Serena Beckett. When we should’ve been dragging the man behind it all. Her father!”“Karma sure moves quick. Crazy daughter tries to go after her sister’s husband, dragging sister online, and now crazy daughter is been dragged instead.”“The Mackwells sure are guilty, but then… are we all going to pretend we don’t see the dots? I see an

ELIOT'S POV “We do not, your honour!” My lawyer also stepped up, “My client here, Mr. Beckett has already taken responsibility for his actions. He issued a public statement, cleared his wife’s name, removed the other party from his residence, ensured she got justice and is now also committed to rebuilding his marriage. What he seeks today is not dissolution, but reconciliation, your honour.”“Reconciliation?” she spat, thoroughly displeased. “You dare say that here after literally dragging me through hell for years, Eliot? After everything you've done? You and my disgusting family?! You want reconciliation now because it’s convenient isn't it?”“No.” I shook my head, throat tight as I turned to face her. “No I do not. I do not want reconciliation because it's convenient, I'm doing It because I want to. I want you, I want us to work this out.”I could say a thousand apologies. A thousand explanations, but none would stop the ache in my chest as I took in the spite in those blue eyes.

SERENA’S POV“M-married?” I stammered, stunned. “You were married? To Who? Who were you marri- when??”He heaved a breath, hands on the wheels as we passed a traffic light. “Her name is Belinda, and we… we kind of got involved a while back. Before your wedding. She’s a reporter.”“A reporter." I blinked, "I thought you hated reporters, but you married one? YOU are married, Axel?” “Was." He corrected, "Was married, until about half an hour ago.”“Oh my God.” I whispered, dressing back on my seat. “Oh my God. Wh- and you didn't tell me? You got married and didn’t tell me, Axel."I couldn't believe it. "All these while you... Wait you got together before my wedding?" I faced him again, "That is before you even ghosted me right? for 4 years. You got married before then and yet you didn't think to tell me? Me? Why?!"“I didn’t want to bother you."“Bother me?" I blew hot, stunned. "You didn't want to bother me, your friend. How? I was your friend, Axel. I am still, right now, and- wait, d
