Lahat ng Kabanata ng I'M HIS MATE, NOT HIS CHOICE: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

Zara’s POV“Why do you do this to me, Jax?” I screamed into my pillow, my voice muffled by the fabric as tears streamed down my face. “Why do you hate me so much?”My cries tore through the silence of my room as my emotions consumed me, wave after wave crashing until I could barely breathe. My heart belonged to him long before I even understood what love meant. And over the years, I had poured every ounce of my being into seeking his attention. His approval. His affection. But he never once looked at me the way I wished he would. Why does he act like I don’t exist?Am I not beautiful enough?Am I not strong enough?Does he think I’m too young… too immature?I’ve kept my heart untouched for him. I’ve saved every part of myself, all my firsts, all my hopes… only for him. So why does he reject me so cruelly?Tears fell again, hot and endless, as I collapsed to my knees. I pressed my hands over my face, trying to hold myself together, but the ache in my chest was too heavy.“I hate him,”

Zara’s POV“Come to my office, princess,” Dy mindlinked, and I was there in seconds, my vampire speed slicing through the corridors.“Dy!” I beamed, throwing myself into his arms. My Alpha-daddy was always warm and reassuring when he wasn't in Alpha mode. Dad teased him constantly, and I adored their banter—it made me yearn for something that felt just as safe and true. A real mate bond. A love like theirs.“I’ve got a mission for you,” Dy said, voice serious now. “Tomorrow night. Northern frontier.”My smile faltered. “That’s rogue territory, isn’t it?”“Worse,” he said grimly. “Illegal activity. Arms, wolfsbane, drugs. Possibly a trap. The cave behind the waterfall is a suspected hideout. But the lack of movement has me uneasy.”“So… shoot at sight?” I asked, my tone sharpening. He nodded. “Eliminate anything that endangers innocents.”We walked to the dining hall, but I froze when I saw him.Jax.He sat at the far end, laughing with Ty and Kai, looking devastatingly good—and then h

Zara’s POV“I’m so glad you came back to me, Zara,” the man in front of me sneered, just before plunging a syringe filled with silver-laced wolfsbane into my abdomen.Monster.“And I hate that we’re even breathing the same air,” I spat. The sharp crack of a slap followed, stinging my cheek—but it barely registered. My nerves had long since gone numb.Pain? I’d learned to master it. I’d survived worse. My fathers used to joke that I was half-zombie with how well I endured pain. But jokes aside, the truth was simple—my body might be immune, but my heart wasn’t.And right now, it ached for someone whose name I couldn’t even say without trembling. The wolfsbane burned, but not like it used to. Thanks to Dy’s training, I had slowly built resistance over ten years—small, daily doses making me nearly immune to its effects. Still, it dulled my senses, especially my scent, and left my limbs feeling like lead.“I see your marks are fading fast,” the bastard grinned. “So, you have a true mate, h

Zara’s POV“I feel like storming to hell and killing those bastards again and again !” Dy fumed through gritted teeth.“Relax Dy. If it makes you feel better, your brother did a fine job of giving them hell before they actually reached that place,” I chuckled.“Princess, I am just so worried. They injected that crap load of poison into you. It could have killed you !” Dy worriedly said.I winced when Ingrid made another cut in my abdomen and the deadly Wolfsbane trickled down like a silver stream out of my flat stomach.“I will personally torture those fucking hooligans for dealing with such stuff,” Dy cursed angrily as he watched Ingrid prepare another patch to remove the silvery poison.“Cool down, Dad. We will clean up this drug dealing business soon,” I assured him.“The problem is magnifying with each passing day, princess. If cocaine and marijuana were not enough then Wolfsbane in quantities limited to 0.001 mg and lower have started doing the rounds in the public domain of the

Zara’s POV“How the hell did you guys get suspended ?” I asked in shock.“The Calculus prof was being a dick so we handed him two geometry boxes with adhesive stuck to their undersides and the whole period he couldn’t teach us because he couldn’t get the boxes off his hands nor could he hold a chalk,” Rob laughed.“And then this asshole became cocky and declared a free day to everyone and the whole class just ran away within seconds. So, the teacher got the two of us suspended for four days,” Nick chuckled.“Great ! Let’s go to Dragon Land together then guys. Wohoooo !” I cheered and we set off for another exciting mission. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Zara’s POV“Oh my fucking god, baby doll !” Rob exclaimed. “You look breathtakingly gorgeous !!!” he breathed out as I glided towards him and Nick to go to the Santa Maria Club.“I just hope those thugs don’t kidnap our God
