MATTEO: “Happy Birthday to youuuuu” I hear a singsong voice outside my door and a small smile creeps on my face as I roll over on my bed, my door creeks open and I see Ava and a small cupcake smiling hard, I sit up laughing, “Happy Birthday my babyyyy, Happy birthday to youuuuu” she laughs and sits on the bed.I chuckle, “thank you” I smile and kiss her softly. She moans a little, handing me the small cupcake, “velvet with chocolate frosting, just how you like it” she laughs but first of all,” she brings out a candle and a lighter, “you have to make a wish first” she lights the candle and hands me the cake.I stare at the cake, the fire reflecting in my eyes, I look back to her and she smiles again, I smile too but it doesn't get to my eyes. All my life, I only ever had one wish, I only ever prayed for one thing…Lorraine. Even when I was overseas, every birthday, every prayer was that she'll be mine but only for a brief moment did it come true and my heart breaks a little. I clear my

LORRIANE: I wasn't one to deal with stress, secrets or anything that looms over my head like doom, but here I was staring at different files I was able to pull on the name ‘Sienna'. I haven't slept well, every night I keep imagining what would happen when Matteo finds out? How would he react? Should I tell him? Do I tell Ava? What about Dexter? How would everyone react when they realize the famous cousins who hate each other are…brothers? Page to page, line by line I read everything, trying to get something valuable, any information that can be useful in finding her. The plan was if I found her first, I'd be able to talk to her, maybe come to some kind of agreement…I was good at negotiating, only this time I feared I might be late. The idea of talking to Aunt Gil crossed my mind too, out of all of them she was the most reasonable. My mother would brush me off and Dexter's father doesn't necessarily like me and I don't feel comfortable looking at him. Exhaustion creeps into my b

SPECIAL POV:SIENNA: I stare at him as he coos in his cot, “Matteo” I whisper as his small hands wrap my finger, a tear falls from my eye. He is the most beautiful baby boy I have ever seen, his eyes were bright green and his hair…just like mine, really unique. I sniffle and stare at him, not blinking, not moving, with the fear that if I did, I'll never see him again. “Hey…you're awake” Giselle says from behind a bunch of balloons, “brought these for him” she laughs and sets them down, sitting on the chair by my side. “Thank you” I whisper, still not looking at her, “he's so beautiful” “Oh yes he is, doctors are amazed with this birth considering he came out a week early. Are you seeing his hair? It's just like yours” she holds my hand and slowly I turn to her, “he is yours Sienna”I sniffle and lay down, allowing my head rest on the soft pillow, I release a deep breath and stare at the ceiling, “but how do I move on from here Gil? I have nothing. My parents cut me off, my job is

LORRIANE: I lock the door behind me as I walk into my office, releasing several deep breaths, I cross my arms watching as she looks around my office. “Nice view”she looks outside the window, the bustling city of DC laid beneath us, people going to work, the cities overlooking each other…it was a view to behold, but I was used to it. There was nothing special about DC anymore. She turns to me, “Lorriane Withmore,” she smirks, “or should I say Lorriane Grayson? It's…it's quite confusing”I sigh, “Lorriane Withmore would be fine” my gaze piercing hers, if she were terrified she was damn good at hiding it. She laughs softly, “I met your mother once or.. twice. She was always mean to everyone around her, I wonder how your father was able to cope with her nasty…” “That's enough Sienna, I won't allow you speak ill of my parents”She smiles, “so now you see how I feel every single day, don't you?” she drops her bag, as if counting her steps she walks slowly to me. Her jaw tight, “you now
