Isla’s POVLaughter filled the entire room. I was completely stunned when the lights suddenly turned on and I found almost every pack member staring at me.“Oh my god, her body looks like a pig!”“Is this really the kind of girl Alpha Noah chose as his Mate?!”Cruel remarks came even from the female members. My heart shattered—what I thought would be a beautiful first night turned into the most horrifying and traumatic experience of my life.“Put on some clothes, stupid!”A large piece of fabric was thrown at me. I had nothing on—not a single thread covered my body.I hurriedly grabbed the cloth and wrapped it around myself.“Come with me. Now.”Suddenly, Noah grabbed my hand, yanking me forward. He was grinning with a sinister expression, his eyes filled with nothing but hatred. What was happening? Wasn’t he all smiles and love during the wedding ceremony earlier today?“Ow!” I cried out in pain from his harsh grip.He dragged me like some discarded pet. People jeered at me, and in t

Isla’s POVI’ve been walking for 30 minutes. Our pack is located at the foot of the hill, and climbing up is exhausting. My destination now is the river inside the forest area of the pack.I have nowhere else to go—I need to end everything that has happened. My tears have dried up from how painful and chaotic everything has become.I still remember clearly when Noah came to me when I was sixteen—exactly one week before my parents died.Noah said that the Elder of his pack had a vision that I was his fated mate.My parents were, of course, overjoyed because Noah was a very famous and powerful man.My parents were renowned entrepreneurs who had close ties with the city elites, so many men tried to become my mate. Some were even willing to defy the Moon Goddess just to gain my parents’ wealth. My parents always thought I was weak and wouldn’t be able to carry on their legacy, so they gave all their wealth and assets in the name of my fated mate. The sound of the river’s gentle flow stopp

ISLA'S POVThe silk of the nightgown felt like a mockery against my skin. It was too soft, too expensive, and far too kind for a body that had been ridiculed and discarded only hours before. I stood behind the double oak doors of the grand dining hall, my breath coming in jagged hitches.Inside that room, I could hear the clinking of crystal and the low, rumbling hum of powerful men. The Ravencurse Pack. They weren't just werewolves; they were the elite. And I was a girl who had been kicked out into the mud in a piece of torn fabric."You’re shaking, Isla."Caleb’s voice was right at my ear. I hadn't even heard him move. He stood behind me, his presence a towering wall of heat that seemed to shield me from the cold draft of the hallway."I don't belong here, Alpha," I whispered, my eyes fixed on my shaking hands. "Your people... they expect a Luna who looks like a goddess. I’m just... I’m the girl Noah laughed at. I’m the 'pig' the Green Diamond pack jeered at."Caleb stepped around t

Noah’s POVThe silence in the Alpha’s suite was louder than the screams I’d left behind in the pack square.I sat at my mahogany desk, a glass of neat bourbon trembling slightly in my hand. On the surface, I had everything. I had the Green Diamond Pack under my thumb. I had the fame, the supermodel contracts, and the women who would crawl over glass just for a glance from me.But the bank accounts were frozen. The Montgomery Trust—the only reason I had tolerated that girl for years—was locked tight."Damn it!" I roared, slamming the glass onto the desk. The amber liquid splashed over a photograph of Isla. Her face looked back at me, wide-eyed and submissive. The way she always looked."Alpha Noah?"Elder Ken stood at the doorway, his face the color of sour milk."What now? If you’re here to tell me the lawyers failed again, I’ll have your tongue," I hissed, leaning back and lighting a cigarette."It’s not the lawyers, Alpha. It’s the border patrol," Ken stammered, clutching a tablet.

ISLA'S POV"Stay here, Isla. My guards will handle this."Caleb’s voice was calm, but his eyes were fixed on the security monitors in his study. He looked like a general preparing for a slaughter. On the screen, a fleet of black SUVs had pulled up to the massive iron gates. And there, standing in front of the lead car, was the man who had ripped my soul out only hours ago.Noah.He looked exactly like the man I’d loved for ten years—expensive suit, perfectly styled hair, and that arrogant tilt of his chin. But seeing him now, through the lens of Caleb’s security cameras, he looked... small. Like a child throwing a tantrum at the gates of a fortress."I can't just hide, Caleb," I said, my voice surprisingly steady. "He’s calling for me. If I don't go down there, he’ll think I’m still the girl who’s afraid of his shadow. He’ll think he still owns me."Caleb turned to me, his gaze softening for a fraction of a second before hardening into ice. "You don't owe him a single breath, Isla. Bu
