Sienna’s Point of ViewAfter lunch, I quickly say goodbye to Emma before making my way home. My shift’s ended before I went to lunch and now I still have a little time before Aiden comes back from school to get a few things done. I close the door behind me, and place my bag down before I go change my clothes. For a few seconds I stand in my living room, trying to decide what to do before my eyes land on Aiden’s shirt on the table.Maybe I should begin with laundry. Asher’s Point of View “It is getting dark. Let’s make camp here.” I say, scanning the trees. Everyone drops their packs. We don't waste time putting up tents, we just brought along sleeping bags, they are easier to just unrolled onto the ground and roll up again. Evan and Jake begin to gather some fire wood before starting the fire. While Lucas begin to clean the fish and rabbits we caught earlier. I quickly make my way around the perimeter. We have been out here for three days but we still haven't seen any rogues. We did find some fresh tracks earlier but that is about it. Once I am satisfied that everything looks good I make my way back over to the rest of the group. “Mason, Cole, you two take watch first. Start fifty meters north, and make sure there is nothing fresh.” I say and they nod their heads. “Got it.” “Lucas, you and I will take second watch. Then Jake and Evan. We will rotate every two hours. Lucas and I will come find you when it is time to switch.”

Sienna’s Point of View“Do you think Santa will like cookies with sprinkles or without sprinkles?”Aiden asks from the backseat as I drive towards the mall. I raise an eyebrow at him in the rearview mirror.“Sprinkles are non-negotiable. Everyone knows Santa prefers sprinkles.”I say and he nods his head slowly. “Yeah… but what if he has allergies?”I frown. “To sprinkles?”I ask and he shrugs.“It could happen.”He says and I snort. “Fine, we will buy regular cookies too. Just in case.”I say and he smiles at me, nodding his head."Okay."He says with a big grin on his face and I can't help but smile. The mall is packed when we get there. Aiden jumps out of the car, buzzing with excitement."So, where to first?"I ask as we enter the mall. He looks at me like I just asked the stupidest question ever and I arch a brow at him."What?""We have to go to the toy store."He says matter-of-factly with a small frown and I nod my head slowly. "Ah, yes. Of course. Ask a silly question."

Sienna’s Point of View I quickly greet everyone as I get to the training grounds. My eyes scan the area, but I don't see Scott anywhere. I decide to start stretching as I wait for Scott to show. A few minutes later he comes jogging over, his hair still messy and wet. “Morning, sorry I'm late.” He says, breathlessly as he comes to a stand. I smile at him, shaking my head. “Morning. It's fine. Late start?” I ask and he sighs. "Sort of, I was basically out the door before Ethan threw up all over me and I had to take a shower." I laugh. "Oh, the joys of parenthood." I say teasingly and I nod towards the track. “Do you want to jog with me for warm-up or are you good?” I ask but he shakes his head, smiling at me. "No, I will come with you." He says and we start jogging side by side. A silence settles between us, but it only lasts halfway around the track before he speaks. “Thank you, for yesterday.” He says quietly and I glance at him with a small frown.

Chapter 115

Sienna’s Point of View The sun is just starting to peek above the trees, but the morning is already hot when training ends. Scott and I are both sweating, with our towels wrapped around our necks, still breathing heavily as we slowly make our way towards the exit of the training grounds. “That felt good.” He says, stretching his arms and I nod my head. “It did. I needed it.” I say and he smirks at me. “Yeah... I could tell...” He says teasingly and I narrow my eyes at him. “Are you saying that I looked stressed?” “I’m saying you looked like you wanted to punch something… and luckily, I was there.” I let out a laugh. “Fair enough.” The scent of freshly brewed coffee floats from the coffee shop in the distance and after greeting a few people heading in for the next training session Scott turns to look at me. Sienna’s Point of View As soon as I step inside, I kick off my shoes. “Aiden? You up?” I call out, but there is no answer. I sigh and shake my head before making my way to the kitchen to make us some breakfast. As soon as breakfast is done I make my way up the stairs. “Aiden. Time to get up.” I call out, but once again there is no answer. “Aiden.” I say loudly as I push open his door. My eyes land on him immediately buried under his blanket. “Get up.” I say flatly and I see the blanket move. “No.” He mumbles. “Yes.” “I’m dead.” “You are talking.” I say, folding my arms in front of my chest and leaning against the door frame. “Ghosts talk too.” I shake my head with a small smile. “You know, I heard the alarm when I came back from training. Asher’s Point of View We slowly make our way through the forest. The scent trail is faint but it is still there. Evan crouches next to a broken branch, sniffing the air. “They were definitely here. Three rogues. Maybe four.” He says. Jake steps up next to him. “And they went straight toward Crescent Moon territory.” He says pointing and I look in the direction the tracks lead. “Yeah, and they didn’t try to hide it either.” I murmur. “You think Crescent Moon is hiding them?” Lucas asks, adjusting his backpack. Sienna’s Point of View Aiden is sitting on the living room floor with all of his crayons spread out around him, singing at full volume as he colors. “Buddy, please don’t color on the actual floor.” I warn. “I’m not.” He says, right as he draws a bright orange line on the wooden floor. I raise a brow at him. “That is literally the floor.” I say flatly and he looks down in surprise. “Oh… yeah. Sorry.” He says, and just shrugs before he continues to color. I open my mouth to respond, but my phone starts ringing on the counter. Aiden immediately looks up. “Is it Uncle Derek?”He asks excitedly and I shrug. “I don't know. Asher’s Point of View I stare at the stack of letters on my desk. Eight. Eight letters I wrote and never sent. Eight letters I should have said months ago, but didn't.
