Luigi’s POVStewart Sloane sat across from both Logan and I, his brows furrowed. The room was small and hot, with guards posted right outside the door. It was the first time I’d seen Logan since we’d been transferred to the jail.Logan and I were both wearing the same, matching jail clothes. Scratchy fabric, a simple blue shirt and black slacks. They’d taken all our clothes when they brought us here. All of our belongings too. Then they’d separated us into two different cells.I was grateful that our cells were individual ones, and that neither of us had a roommate. But the cell itself was so small and suffocating, that I’d almost lost my shit. Just a plain bed with a hard mattress, and a tiny toilet tucked away in the corner. The only window was barely a slit high above the bed.The cell reeked of urine and sweat. Metal bars separated the cell from the hallway. Not knowing what else to do, I’d just sat on the bed, reeling from the nightmare that had been the past twenty-four hours.
