Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Apocalypse Hoarder: Kabanata 61 - Kabanata 70

The neighborhood's water supply had frozen solid, turning access to drinking water into a severe problem. The only option was to brave the -70°C chill outside, shovel snow from the ground floor, and haul it back upstairs.Even then, melting it posed another challenge. At indoor temperatures of -60°C, the snow hardened instantly into blocks of ice, solid as concrete. Some desperate residents tried licking it directly, only to have their tongues freeze to the surface in seconds.Meanwhile, Cyrus monitored everything through his surveillance cameras. Every day, he watched Jack's crew lurking outside, clearly waiting for him to step out for water so they could ambush him.But days passed, and Cyrus never left his apartment. They could not have imagined how well-stocked his home was. If he wanted, he could live out his entire life in that room—well-fed, warm, and comfortable—until the end."Jack hasn't died yet? He's hanging on longer than I thought," Cyrus muttered.Jack had taken an

Fueled by hatred for Cyrus and their desire for his apartment, the two plastic besties formed another temporary alliance. But when it came to actually seizing his home, they had to plan carefully."If we try to take his place by force, the two of us alone won't be enough. We'll need outside help," Natalie said, biting her lip.Even under normal circumstances, the two of them together were no match for Cyrus. Now, half-starved and half-frozen, they stood no chance against a well-fed, well-rested, energetic Cyrus.Natalie suggested, "What if we call a few neighbors to help us?""Are you stupid?" Diana glared at her. "Even if Cyrus' place is stocked, it won't be enough to share with that many people. The fewer who know, the better."Natalie asked anxiously, "Then what do you propose we do?"Diana smiled slyly. "We can call Percy."Percy was her loyal lapdog. He obeyed her every word.Cyrus had chased her off before, but at least he had some sense. He wouldn't let himself be manipu

Seeing no response, Percy pounded on the door even harder. "Cyrus! Cyrus! It's me, Percy! Open up! I have something very important to tell you!"Inside, Cyrus sneered. He reached for his gun and clicked off the safety. Strolling to the door, he called lazily, "Who is it?"Percy heard his voice and gestured downward, signaling Diana and Natalie to get ready. Both women were tense—their first attempt at murder—but the thought of killing Cyrus and moving into his warm, well-stocked apartment steeled their resolve. Their eyes sharpened with fierce determination.Percy spoke in a pitiful tone. "Cyrus, it's me, Percy. My family's food is gone. For the sake of us being colleagues, could you spare some?"He wore a pleading expression, but his hand hovered near his coat, ready to draw the knife.Cyrus leaned casually against the door. "I don't have any food left either. Can't help you with that."Behind the door, Diana and Natalie silently cursed. No food? What about the seven or eight bo

Diana fussed over her sofa, wrinkling her nose at Percy, who reeked of piss. At the door just moments ago, he had taken the full force of Cyrus' so-called "baptism."She immediately snapped at him, yelling for him to get off the sofa.Percy felt utterly wronged. He had only provoked Cyrus because Diana had asked him to. Now he was soaked in urine and shivering due to the cold, and his body was bruised and bleeding. Yet Diana still treated him like this. But a bootlicker was still a bootlicker. The more he thought about it, the more he convinced himself Diana was right. 'I failed her. I didn't even handle the matter properly. And like this—filthy and stinking—how can I desecrate Diana's sofa?'The more he dwelled on it, the more he believed her scolding was deserved. He quickly jumped up and lowered his head in apology. "I'm sorry, Diana. It's all my fault. Please don't be mad at me!"Diana and Natalie, both anxious to change their clothes, waved him off impatiently."Hurry up and

Cyrus lit the stink bombs and tossed them through the firing slot above the door. The moment they hit the ground, thick black smoke gushed out, spreading rapidly through the corridor. The stench was unbearable, like someone had just cracked open a jar of feces sealed for ten years.Diana and Natalie gagged on the spot."Ugh, what the hell is this? Bleeerrgh!""Cyrus… Ugh… You're disgusting!"The foul reek only grew stronger and flooded the stairwell. Both women clutched their stomachs, vomiting as they stumbled away in a panic.Cyrus had no concern about the smell seeping back inside. Once he closed the firing slot, his apartment was practically sealed. The place had been renovated with an air-filtration system that could keep out stench or any harmful air.Cyrus burst into laughter as he watched through his monitors the two women stagger down the hallway and retching uncontrollably. But soon after, a complaint arrived from his next-door neighbors.[Cyrus, what the hell did you
