I smiled, flipping the pages slowly. “Alright, but this time, you have to help me with the sounds.” He grinned, his tiny face lighting up. “Woof! Meow! Roar!” We laughed together, his chatter filling the room. When his questions slowed and his eyelids drooped, I kept reading softly, my fingers gently brushing his hair. I kissed his forehead, tapping his back gently as he drifted off. Watching him sleep, I felt a warmth I never knew before. This little guy sure made life brighter—and way more fun. Eventually I promised Ezra I’d take him to the New Kids Cafe Mall that was just recently launched, Isabel and her kids were coming along too. Ezra was bouncing with excitement, I could barely handle the cuteness.
