They were under attack. As Draven snarled, Myra watched in horror as more than twenty wolves, their eyes blazing with bloodlust and sporting the familiar mist-colored white gaze, emerged from the dark trees. The canix behaved like a mindless hive, ignoring signs of danger or fear, driven solely by their hunger for prey, a dangerous and formidable trait. As the hive of canix wolves launches an attack, Draven signals his six wolves, including Myra, to be ready, and they collide with him, with Myra on his back. She lets out a yelp as she rolls out of the way before Draven’s wolf slams into a tree. “Draven!” she calls out, worried, as the wolf wrestle and tussle with the alpha’s mighty wolf. However, Draven's booming voice in her mind stopped Myra from doing something. "Don't do anything, Myra. I want you to get out of here and lay low while we deal with these monsters!" He called as she bit into the neck of the wolf that threatened and clawed to wound Draven, the mighty wol

After the attack, they settled on safe ground, where the Nightclaw pack had set up enough tents for a night of camping, with guards keeping watch on secured grounds. They were all on watch for the night after being shaken by the attack of the Canix wolves. As the others gathered around the open fire, all attention turned to Sinsa, with Myra sitting closest, her sympathetic eyes fixed on Sinsa as she shared her story with the group. “It’s a miracle you escaped, even with them continuing to haunt you,” Myra said, offering a warm squeeze to Sinsa’s hand. “I was really lucky; to be honest, everything fell apart after the door was sealed, and I didn’t have the strength to make another. I was left with the rogues, but thankfully I managed to escape,” she explained. “You are fast on your wings, just like you said,” Myra said to Sinsa, who smiled, squeezing back on Myra’s assurance before Myra turned towards Draven. Throughout Sinsa’s story, his powerful frame leaned against a

As Draven and his packmen returned home, Myra and Jorah rode on the backs of the alpha and beta wolves, and the gates swung open to welcome them. As the alphas returned, the people gathered in crowds, watching and cheering, and believing that the war between the Nightclaw pack and the Lykos pack had finally been put to an end. After the agreement from the accords, Myra felt a sense of relief as she gladly returned to the pack, although she knew the lycans still had something up their sleeves, as did they all. But right now, she decided to live in the moment. Last night, when she and Draven opened their hearts to each other, she assured him that she had decided to stay in the pack and wouldn't leave anymore. Recalling the big grin on his face, her heart fluttered once more. However, her thoughts were interrupted by a figure standing before the crowd, her head held high, until her gaze met the bird shifter Sinsa, causing her to quickly look away and compose herself before sp

Myra and Sinsa walked a short distance from the sparring ground, down a short path in the Crescent Estates garden. Between them, the air was cold, and Myra wrapped her cashmere sweater tighter, walking with a nervous bite to her lips, as their looming silence held. It had been a long time since she last felt complete peace, a sense of finally belonging. Over the past few days, she had sensed the pack's grievances against her gradually changing and shifting. Tarrin still hadn’t stopped teasing her and Draven. When she was naked and being ravished by the alpha in the alpha's study, she couldn't blame him for almost walking in on them, especially since it was Draven's roar that sent the gamma fleeing, his laughter echoing. Myra couldn’t meet his eyes for days after that, not until he cracked a joke about it. Even in the sparring ring, he still teased Draven, but Myra was happy and content with it, despite Enzo being a hard wall to crack and the lycans having many is

The day of the twilight banquet had arrived, and Draven couldn’t help but feel angry, seething. No, his annoyance stemmed from days before, especially since Myra had been avoiding him for a reason the alpha couldn’t understand. Myra had been distant lately, and he couldn't understand why; occasionally, he'd catch her staring at him, only for her once-soft eyes to fill with panic, prompting her to flee. A dark thought had begun to take root in his mind as he wondered if Myra regretted her words and was taking back her promise to stay with him. Had she come to realize that she didn’t want to spend eternity with Draven and wanted her mortality back? The thought terrified him. The alpha rarely felt this way, but with Myra, nothing was ever normal. His packmen and servants took note of his attitude and made an effort to avoid the alpha when he scowled. Even the servants who were in charge of dressing the alpha for the twilight banquet were terrified of his
