Was Pregnant

- Clary's POV - She was surprised that I was confused about the thing that she had just said. She bit her lip as if she had done something wrong, which made me even more curious."I am sorry... I presume that you are not yet aware," she said out of worry. She still looked surprised.I furrowed my brows, still not aware of what she was saying. I was puzzled by it, and it would not stop me now from asking questions."Aware of what?" I asked again, which made her sigh, feeling guilty about what she said earlier."You lost a child, Erina..." she stated with her voice low, sounding as if she did not want to tell me about it.My heart grew heavy when I heard her words, but I still couldn’t comprehend the thing that she had just said. I lost a child? How is that even possible?"You were pregnant..." she paused for a second, probably trying to find the right words. "We were not able to save your child. I am sorry."I suddenly held my womb, uncertain about it. I was pregnant? The night I was

His Disappearance

- Andrea's POV - I thought that killing Clary would do me good. My life has been quiet since I ordered those wolves to kill her, and I am really happy about that. I found peace, and I wouldn’t need to be pissed at her all the time. I wouldn’t have any competition for my dad’s attention. However, Dad had become much quieter, and he became an alcoholic. Every time I saw him, he was holding his bottle of liquor. He was always out of touch, too. He rarely went home to sleep. He was grieving. My dad is strong. He will be able to get through it. Sooner or later, he will realize too that the world is a better place without that weak and embarrassing Vertina. He wouldn’t have to worry about our name and reputation because there would be no one to drag it down. No one would embarrass us in front of several wolves. We would be able to achieve the honor and prestige at this moment. The Vertina name will be known, even in the other wolf packs. It will only be a matter of time. When the day comes

Revenge for the Lost Child

- Clary's POV -It has been a month since I learned the truth about everything. I asked Marcus, my cousin, to teach me how to use daggers and how to fight properly. It has also been a month since I started training with daggers, and now that I have learned the proper way to use them as weapons, I can say they suit me better than archery. I learned fast with daggers; they felt like an extension of my body.Despite becoming skilled with daggers, I still practice archery from time to time. I am still improving my aim, which I can say is getting better than ever. I can now use two weapons, but I am still not content. I need more time to practice and hone my skills so I will be ready to take my revenge... for my child. My physical abilities are getting better, too. It was nice to have someone, especially family, supporting everything I was doing. I think that support is one of the major factors that helped my abilities improve. The Lavarejos family, where my mother belonged, has been very

Grieving for the Dead

- Xylo's POV -I am still grieving for the death of someone I really love. It doesn't get better each day. The phrase time heals sucks because it never helped me. Time wasn’t able to subside the pain and regret that I am feeling. It doesn’t change even a bit. I can still feel her with me. I can still see her everywhere, and I wish it were true, but it never was. She is now residing in my thoughts and never in reality again.I feel lost. I don’t know where to start. I feel like moving from one place to another because I could see her everywhere. I could still feel her in every place that I go to. Especially in our kingdom, I could see her everywhere, and I could only stare at my hallucinations because those were the only way I could see her again.Maybe I wasn’t healing or moving on because I still want to linger with the memories she left. I cannot let her go. I cannot forget everything that she made me feel and everything that we have done. Damn, letting go was never my attitude. I c

The Second Life

- Clary's POV - "Clary!" I heard his scream coming from the magical forest.I was too shocked to hear his voice. I wasn’t ready to even hear it. I wasn’t prepared for any interaction with him, and I had no plans to have one. He was never in my plan. I could not forgive him for colluding with Andrea, the wolf who killed our child. I could never forgive both of them."Run faster..." Marcus whispered, probably because he was hearing or sensing that someone was approaching us. I did what he told me and ran with all my might. I couldn’t imagine Alpha being near that place. I never thought that he would come there. It was out of my thoughts when I planned to retrieve some of my arrows. He was out of the equation. He was never supposed to be part of it.The day I realized that I lost my child was the day I forgot everything about us. I can’t fall in love with someone who is bound to marry the person who killed a part of me. I couldn’t forgive him for that, not when he is still continuing th

Paying Wrongful Doings

- Clary's POV - I held my dagger when we reached our destination. It was another day to let some wolves pay for their wrongful doings. It was the kingdom in the east where the wolves who killed me that night were residing. I would not let them escape from the anger I was feeling. I would have no mercy on them, not when they killed my child.Marcus had told me that they were able to kill and finish those wolves who ambushed and shot me. That was how they were able to rescue me that night. However, he believed that there were still some wolves who colluded with Andrea and were about to kill me that night as well. According to him, there were still other wolves approaching when they rescued me. Some of those wolves were at the borders that night. They hadn’t laid a finger on me yet, but they were planning to. I could have saved my child if they were not that many in number. I could have protected us.When we arrived at the village where they were residing, everything was quiet. There wa

Cheesy in Pain

– Clary’s POV –It was another day I was spending here in the Northeast Mountains. I was resting for a while inside the mansion when I suddenly heard my father’s voice coming from the living room. I was honestly surprised to hear him inside this mansion. I never expected that he would come here. It was another kind of surprise that I didn’t think I would ever experience.Luckily, I was inside my room when I heard him. Without making any sound, I quickly hid in the closest room near the living room where I could clearly hear his voice. I quietly opened the door a little and carefully peeked through. I saw his back facing my direction when I sneaked out of my room and went into the other one. He looked thinner compared to the last time I saw him. It has been around four and a half months since then.Of course, I missed my father. A part of me wanted to run to him and hug him. But right now, I don’t think I want to face him. Not after everything that happened. Not after the heavy feeling

Craving For Him

- Clary's POV - It was around eight in the evening when we arrived at the town. I haven’t been here before. The crowd is more packed than I imagined, and the place illuminates well with several lights lit. The alley that we walked upon was busy with some wolves selling stuff. It looks like a souvenir shop. There were also old buildings and houses that look elegant and nostalgic at the same time. The eclipse hasn’t started yet. It is believed that at around nine in the evening, it will be seen in the sky. The last time I saw one was three years ago, and I really want to witness it again. It felt magical, and I somehow want to feel it again. As we walked in the alley, I couldn’t help but admire the souvenirs that were being sold. I went to one of the stalls, the one selling bracelets. Marcus just walked behind me while I was busy observing everything in this place. The bracelet that caught my eye has a pendant of a half moon with some gems around it. It looks nice. I don’t know why, bu

Hidden

- Clary's POV - I was unable to move after hearing the words from my cousin. It was too unexpected that he would be here and that he would find us. I was not sure if he was looking for me, because I knew for sure that I was already dead and that no one knew I was here... or if he was just visiting the Northeast Mountains, but that sounded absurd. What would he be doing in this place? It was far from where Homer’s pack was residing.Time froze at that moment, and I couldn’t compose myself because it was so unexpected to hear his name. I was only able to move when my cousin let go of his hug, which was probably covering my face from Alpha’s view. Marcus immediately grabbed my hand after releasing me from the hug and dashed away from the crowd where we were standing. His sudden movement made me run too... but I was not sure if I was running properly because my mind was too preoccupied with thoughts about him."Go that way," Marcus pointed to an alley full of wolves who were enjoying the

The Vengeance

- Clary's POV - "I can't let you go, Clary..." His voice was deep, and I could sense that he was controlling himself for something I am not sure of.I gulped at his words; they were making me weak and fragile. I cannot be the same woman again; I cannot be that same girl who was once so smitten by him. Things have definitely changed now. A lot of things have happened, and I couldn't turn a blind eye to those.I couldn't turn my back away from my child."Let go of me!" I screamed once again, unable to think of something else to say. I shouldn't be emotional over his words. He was always full of riddles, and look how it took me before. I cannot be that weak again.I tried to shake off his hand from my arm again, but his grip was tight, and I couldn't let go of it... or maybe I am not using my full force to get away from him. I am not sure if I really want to leave or if I am just convincing myself that I want to.The hell with his facial expressions that make me want to give in and surr
