Lahat ng Kabanata ng His Second Husband : Kabanata 141 - Kabanata 150

Carlos’s povThe moment he was gone, I went to a secluded place to answer my calls. Nowhere felt safe so I went to the bathroom.I locked the door behind me after the last person had gone before picking the call.“Why are you not picking up?” I said. I was getting impatient. “I’ve been calling for a while now.”She chuckled. “Chill. I’m already dressed and I’m out of the house. I’m calling the team. I’ve seen the address that you sent me and we’re working towards talking to the security guard and cutting a deal with him. We’re also working to see which one of my guys is going to be the one that comes to look for trouble because some of them don’t want to get punched.”I chuckled. “Fine. Do your best.”“Like I said, it doesn’t come cheap.”“When have you ever been cheap?” I shrugged. “Listen, Laura, do your thing. When you’re done, me and you will go to a secluded area and then we can cut a deal. How about that?”She chuckled. “Fine. Whatever.”Then I cut the call. My phone buzzed aga

Carlos’s povI got back to my house to see Laura standing outside the building. I looked back to make sure Jules had not followed me up the stairs as I grained at her.“What the hell is your deal? You shouldn’t even be here? I was gonna meet you later.”She shrugged. “Couldn’t wait. My guy had to go to the hospital because you broke his fucking Jose to impress your lover.”I scoffed. “So this is still about that? I already told you that we’d see. I sent it through text to you multiple times. How many more times do you want me to say it to you?”“Maybe a million more times. But if you’re gonna break my workers nose, at least give us a heads up. Medicals cost extra.”“He was supposed to know that I was going to punch him.”She sighed and looked around, flailing her arms in frustration before she looked at me squarely.“You still didn’t need to punch him you dimwit. That’s what I’m trying to explain here. He’s not a punching bag. Now you gotta pay extra or I will fuck you up.”Laura wasn

Julian’s pov“That was… romantic,” I said to him. “You seem to be watching a lot of romantic movies lately.”He laughed, getting comfortable in his seat. “So you’re saying i can’t do anything comfortable for you. Is that it?”“No,” I smiled. “I just… don’t see that romantic side of you too often.”“I fought for you today, what more do you want?”He wasn’t wrong. He looked around admiring the decorations. “It took you how many hours to pull this off?”I looked around admiring it as well. “Let’s say a couple of hours because I did tell my butler. Then I told my maids and all of them had to run around doing things and right now I’m actually happy that, well, everything is good.”He chuckled. “Your butler again. I just hope he doesn’t screw this up for us.”I folded my arms and raised a brow. “We are here for us. Don’t bring up my butler again.”He nodded and looked around. “I’m only seeing two seats here. Where’s your mother’s own?”“Oh, she’s not joining us,” I said, leaning forward to

Tina’s povI stayed at the bookclub not even paying attention to anything they were doing there and people noticed. My mind was still stuck on what Jules had said. But all I wanted was what was better for him. I didn’t like where this was going and to be honest, I preferred it if he was not going with that Carlos of a guy.Engaged? The thought of that was repulsive. He could do better than Carlos.I started to remember the conversation I had with the butler over this kind of case.“I don’t like their engagement,” I could remember saying while the butler helped me make dinner that night. Carlos had taken Jules for another romantic night out and I had planned to be with him that day. But somehow, he had “forgotten” and gone out with Carlos, leaving me talking to the butler, again.“What don’t you like about their relationship?” He asked while whipping the cream with the machine as the noise disoriented me for a second.“I don’t know, there’s something off about that boy. He showed up ou

Tina’s povOn a norm, that should work. But seeing as he was blinded by his love for Carlos, he wasn’t paying any attention to anything that I had to say. I felt insulted standing before him while in his eyes I could see the anger filling it up.He wasn’t just angry at me but at everything.“I have told you that Carlos is the problem. Yet you keep blaming the poor butler. He’s done nothing but tried to help. All Carlos has done is cause problems for you. Since we’ve been living with the butler, he’s been a huge help to me. If not for him; I would have died multiple times in that house. Now he’s gone, what will I do now?”“We’ll get you someone else.”“We?” I scuffed. “What do you mean we?”He sighed. “I wanted to tell you later, but I’m guessing now is a good a time as any.”I narrowed my eyes at him. I wondered what he was going to say now.“Carlos and I have decided to start living together in the mansion.”I gasped and looked around, trying to keep my thoughts under control. I felt
