Lahat ng Kabanata ng DENNYJAY: TO TOUCH AN OMEGA: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

DENNY:My eyes swept over Max, trying to digest his words without exposing I was already in a pull of thorns.I heard him louder than anyone had ever spoken to me. I understood the concept of bringing someone home. Someone no one had ever seen suddenly appeared when there was a conflict between hearts.“Who?” I whispered, stepping out of the room.“A free human. An omega. Can’t say for certain. But he took her in.”A woman?Jay, what are you up to?“What do you want to do?” Max asked. He had already given up on Jay and me.Everyone had witnessed our latest development. While they blamed me for everything, treated me worse than Jay did, they thought it would pass. Max had said Luo believed Jay would come around. They were all wrong.“She…” I swallowed, my nerves cracking. “She could be his friend. A business partner from the South.”“Denny.” Max exhaled, almost begging me to stop lying to myself. But if I faced the truth, what exactly should I do? Confront Jay?“I will be inside,” I m

DENNY:I woke up in a dark cell, groaning, my body aching all over.I managed to sit up. My eyes weren’t covered, nor my mouth gagged, but I couldn’t see or feel my lips. My arms and legs were free too, yet I was too weak to move. My stomach growled suddenly, loud and long…showing days without food. The last thing I remembered was meeting the Unions. New faces, unfamiliar, different from the ones that came for Jay, but I knew them by their movements, their aura. I had left my car, entered theirs. We drove silently and smoothly until I felt a sharp pain pierce my skin. I slapped the exact spot instinctively, but before I could even breathe, everything went black. And here I am. Awake, aching like I’d been beaten, yet bearing no bruises.I could sense the darkness pressing around me. The air reeked of dust and clay—no trace of sweat, no hint of blood…just dry, suffocating emptiness. My butts chilled against the floor; my palm slid across the tiles, their smoothness dulled beneath layers

DENNY:I couldn’t sit still. I couldn’t breathe right. I couldn’t even stand in one place. I felt my life slipping out of me. Although I had convinced the Unions that my baby was a boy, worry nagged at me. I was going insane. I was helpless.I wanted to talk to my baby, warn my mother, and alert the Breedens, but I knew I shouldn’t. It would force them into panic.Yet I couldn’t just sit here and trust the Unions wouldn’t fine her simply because they believed TA was a boy.~Jay?~If I shouldn’t contact my little one. I could at least try Jay. But, as expected, he still had me blocked out.The message bounced back to me with endless static, like a cable that could never connect.~Jaden!~I sent it again, even knowing how it would end.Frustrated. Cornered. I had no choice.~TA?~My hands shook as I sent the message.~TA?~~Mama!~Her reply came instantly. She had been waiting. She knew. She had felt my fear, anger, and pain all along, but stayed silent because I asked her to.~Oh, my

JAY: I re-entered our bedroom reeking of sweat and release, but it was Denny’s tears I smelled most. His sorrow was thick in the air, sharp enough to fill my nostrils. No doubt he had cried the entire time I was with… With…whoever. Whatever. He looked shattered. Battered. And bitter. He got a portion of what I’d suffered from his betrayal, and still, I felt no remorse. I climbed into bed without showering–deliberately–to hurt him further. When he tried to speak, I cut him off. Permanently. I shut him out of my head, blocking his voice forever. The magic to sever our bond was brutal. Painful. Dangerous. It could be harmful to me…to Denny. It risked deafness, a total end to any emotional connection between us. I knew the cost. I didn’t want to do it. Yet I did. And because Denny had telepathic power too, the backlash was worse than expected. His scream sliced through me. My own pain was no less. Though I was lying cold beside him, I burned with agony—not just from the magic, but fr

JAY:My legs buckled. I stumbled to the floor in shock.~Papa? Can you hear me?~Still rooted, overwhelmed by the delicate voice in my head, I huffed my stiffness into the air.~Say something if you can, Papa~My child’s voice. Wide-eyed and motionless, hot tears broke from me, dripping to the floor.~Papa?~~I…I can hear you~ I stammered, eyes shut as I went into a louder sob.~Papa!~I bowed lower in tears, feeling the eyes of my men, Luo and Max…burning into my back. But their stares meant nothing compared to the confirmation of my offspring. My child knew of me. Denny hadn’t hidden my existence. And in that moment, I was happy, ashamed and utterly broken.~I have been trying so long to communicate with you~The tender voice came again, her joy flooding through me. I could tell her gender—not by her sweet, tiny voice, but through the bond itself. The revelation wrapped around me like vines clinging to stone.About her inability to communicate with me, it was supposed to be so. The
