-Rosalie-"Hmm?" I asked confused as to what he was talking about."I never knew what love was or how it felt till you." He rephrased his statement.Sighing he sat up and leaned against the headboard, mimicking his actions I sat up but on the opposite so that I could stare directly into his sorrow-filled orbs as he talked."Growing up I never experienced love, both my parents loathed me." A tear fell from his eyes but he was quick to wipe it off. "They blamed me for ruining their lives."I frowned at the irony."My father hated me for having been conceived and my mother never wanted to look at me, she said I looked like the devil him." He sniffed. "They weren't the only ones though, just like them, my grandparents, uncles, cousins, and aunts despised me too."I couldn't help but frown even more as he kept talking."No one wanted me in their home, that is why they had some random old woman keep me until she passed and I was forced to go and stay with my mother and her mate William." He

-Dash-"She's missing."Barely 2 seconds had passed when Penelope, Martha and Charlie barged in."Cage is missing as well."All it took was those 4 words to paralyze my entire body, heart included. Unable to support all the weight I carried, my legs gave in and I collapsed to the floor with a thud."Dash!" That was all I heard and thereafter nothing, it was like I had gone deaf. I could see their mouths moving but my mind was too deep in a haze to even register what was being spoken―I was in a state of shock. It took quite some time for me to recover from my shock but when I finally did I was bombarded with multiple questions that had my head spinning, I failed to understand and generate a response to each of the questions thrown at me."Everyone shut up!" Angelo demanded in his beta tone and they all complied because the authority in his voice compelled them to.Seated on the couch head in my hands, I rubbed my temple attempting to calm myself and digest what was happening."Dash whe

-Dash-"I'm sorry." I repeated sincerely."Are you really-" she stared at me wide-eyed. "Wow.""What?" I asked unsure if she was still in shock over the fact that I was apologizing or she was being sarcastic."You, Dash Kingston are apologizing to me." She pointed a finger at her chest and shook her head in disbelief."Yes I am, I was wrong to have taken advantage of you and your feelings for me."I expected her to maybe slap me in the face but she did the opposite, standing closer she wrapped her arms around me pulling me into her warm embrace, she was hugging me. The hug took me by surprise, my body became tense but soon calmed and I reciprocated her gesture. Our hug was nothing sexually intimate, it was just like a hug between two people who had been through a rough time. Even though she never showed or told anyone about it, Lucinda's life was not as perfect as others perceived, I was among the very few people that she let in on how she had been struggling and her life was spiralin

-Dash-Another day had come to an end and we had not found either Rosalie or Cage yet and the more time passed the stronger the strange feeling that had settled in the pit of my stomach became. I needed to find them, soon."Are you alright?" Penelope asked taking a seat beside me."I feel like they are in a lot of danger," I confessed. "I'm scared Penelope." For the first time in years, I admitted that I was in fact afraid and this fear kept growing with every passing second. Picking up on my worry, she took my hand in hers and squeezed it comfortingly."I'm terrified as well." She sighed. "But I know both of them are strong fighters, Rosalie has been through a lot but still concurred, and Cage well, the boy not only has the blood of one of the strongest werewolves to ever exist but that of a fighter as well running in his veins, they are going to be alright." She encouraged. "Rose would die first before she lets any harm come to her children that's for sure.""Thanks, Penelope, I rea

-Dash-"This is taking longer than I wanted." I groaned frustrated."Clearly you need help." Angelo stated. We had met at a dinner on the outskates of a town occupied mostly by humans, here no one could see us but even if they did no one would be able to recognize us."How's the pack?" I changed the topic because even though I knew having them around would make things easier for me, I needed them back in the pack, I trusted them and knew they would keep things in order."Messy, everything is a fucking mess." He sighed gulping his beer."What's that supposed to mean, what are you doing?" My eyes are wide as I stare at the man. "You're supposed to be keeping everything in place.""I'm doing the best I can, we all are but that dipshit just won't rest till he ruins everything we have worked so hard to build.""Fuck." I gritted out pinching the bridge of my nose. That was not what I needed to hear at this point."I know you are doing your best here but Dash we need you back, Crimson pack n
