Lahat ng Kabanata ng His Baby, My Revenge: Kabanata 131 - Kabanata 140

Finn's POV‘Change of plans. Portland General.’ I link Enzo, trying to calm my racing heart.‘Be there in fifteen,’ his voice is laced with frustration. ‘City is a pain in the dick to patrol.’ I don’t bother with a response.“Finn,” my name falls from Erin’s lips in a plea, and if it doesn’t send a split through my heart…. “I’m scared.”“Baby,” I feel my chest quake, my mind toeing the line between falling into a full-blown panic attack.‘Nash,’ I barely get his name out before he responded, ‘On it.’ A few moments later, I feel our shared connection slipping into place, and his devouring of my negative emotions.Right now, Erin needs me to push out my fears, and reassure her that hers are never going to come to fruition.“I won’t let anything happen to you,” my arm is across the center console in search of her hand before I can stop myself. I feel the tackiness of her drying blood as shaky fingers thread through my own.A sick sense of dread trickles down my spine before settling in

Azure's POV‘I’d certainly be interested in tearing that smug look off his face,’ Nero snarls.“Nothing to say?” Rowan crossed his arms over his chest, arching his stupid brow.Yeah, even that pisses me off when it comes to fucking Rowan Connolley.“You didn’t ask me a question,” I shrugged, taking a deep breath, and leaning against the wall.My favorite thing to do with Rowan is pretend like his presence doesn’t affect me. We both know it’s a lie, but it pisses him off to know that I have the self-control to hide my disdain behind sarcasm and indifference, where he’s clawing at the bit to attack me.“Funny,” he mutters, “Let me rephrase for your simple mind to process. Why are you outside my wife’s hospital room?”“Why are you?” His right eye twitched, and I wanted to laugh at how easy it was to chip at the tough guy act he tries to play with me.“Because she’s my wife,” his lips slowly pulled into a grin. “But she’s nothing to you. So I’ll ask again: Why are you standing outside of

Erin’s POVIt’s been a week since I was released from the hospital and I’m going insane. Finn and Az are only speaking if it pertains to the pack or the business, otherwise, they’ve been avoiding each other like the plague. It’s starting to affect me in ways I didn’t think were possible. Not to mention every single day, Rowan has been sending me a good morning text, which I ignore, and a good night text… Also ignored.I know my read receipts are on, so he can see that I’m blatantly ignoring him, but it hasn’t deterred him yet. After the third day, I broke down, sobbing while Finn held me, whispering that it would all be okay. This whole thing feels like I’m in the twilight zone and I want it to stop… no, need it to stop.As I pad through the house, I’m not surprised to find Finn seated at the table, his thick rimmed glasses resting on the bridge of his nose. He’s still in a T-shirt and sweats, giving me pause.“Not going to the office today?” I hum, moving towards the fridge for my cur

Azure’s POVThis office has felt exponentially larger since Finn has been keeping his distance. The walls feel like they’re closing in, the scent is all sorts of wrong, and the silence… Fuck.I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed having Finn in the background. How he’d mumble under his breath while trying to analyze data, or how he’d bounce questions off of me when the silence had gone on too long.I hated it.My head rested against the harsh surface of my desk, the photo that I typically keep face down is sitting right side up, staring at me as if to remind me of who I am.Lately, I feel like I don’t really know who that is anymore. The door shuts harder than usual as Finn steps into our office. He doesn’t slam it.. because this is Finn, and he’s far too controlled for that.A cube of ice dislodges from the base of a full glass of whiskey. I poured it before finding myself staring at the contents hoping that maybe, within the amber liquid, I’d find the answers I was looking for.News f

Erin’s POVTo say the last few days were tense would be an understatement.Az and Finn had three important meetings related to their contracts this week as well as trying to come up with a plan to deal with Alpha Redrock, which has left me alone with my thoughts more often than not.I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around everything. Is it even possible for stories to be this interwoven in real life? And the realization that Rowan had anything to do with shaping the man that Azure has become makes my stomach twist with knots.I haven’t even gotten to have a one on one with Finn after that night in their office. The shattered look in his eyes nearly sent a fissure straight through my heart.A groan bubbles from my chest. The loneliness has kept me feeling like a prisoner for the past three days.Az and Finn didn’t explicitly say I had to stay in the pack house, but it was heavily implied, especially while Enzo was busy with training Sin to be my personal bodyguard.Thankful
