Ethan climbed into the driver's seat and checked that I was settled “Let me be your chauffeur for the day” he winked as he teased me.“Oh please, Ethan” I said, letting out a sincere smile “Am serious. I'll take you wherever you want to go” he said, in a playful professional tone “Okay,” I said, testing the word in my tongue.“You're hired” I added“Yes!” He blurted out as if he had just won a lottery“Right after you change out of what you're wearing” I addedEthan laughed, rubbing the back of his neck “My wife is not proud of me” he teased with a hint of shrug in his voice I clapped him in the shoulder“Okay. Okay, don't panic. I'm not judging. Just enforcing fashion policy here”“You're dressed in pajamas, Mr Blackwood. You need to change into something else”Ethan's chuckle rolled out louder and his eyes softened into something warm. He looked at his stripes pyjamas and back to me with a wide smile“Oh I forgot!” He blurted out hilariously “My wife definitely cares about my

In the car, Ethan offered me a wide, almost boyish smile that felt like sunshine. He couldn't stop staring at me and it made me a little self conscious.“I love what you did back there” he murmured as he pulled me closer wrapping an arm around me. He then pressed a soft tender kiss on my forehead that made my chest flutter.“I did what I had to do” I muttered between breathe Ethan gaze softened as he pulled away“Love, let's get married,” he blurted out.“This time, no contract, no strings and more importantly, you can have your dream wedding”I let the suggestion drift between us “It's not time yet” I told him as a smile tugged at the corners of my mouth“I just want to enjoy being your girlfriend for a while. It's a stage we skipped the first time”“Love, am just afraid someone might steal you away from me” he admitted, his voice carrying a hint of vulnerability “Who do you think might try” I pressed in a curious and amused smirk“I don't know” he admitted, shrugging in that char

I arrived at Brian's agency earlier than anyone else. The dressing room was empty except for a small bouquet by the corner.I picked up the bouquet of flowers and reached out for the note. Thinking it was Ethan who had sent it and so a smile naturally emerged from my face.“Be fine, Avery. I want you so bad” my brows furrowed and I scanned the words, realizing it wasn't Ethan. Then the door swung open and Brian entered. For no particular reason, I felt a certain unease tightening in my chest at Brian's appearance.“Do you like it?” He asked in a calm tone.My mouth tightened slightly and I turned the bouquet in my hands as if weighing the gift“Am sorry,I can't accept this” I said as I threw the flowers to him”“Why Avery?” He asked in a cold tone while standing there with hands fixed in his pockets “Maybe you don't like it. Let me get you other varieties “No Brian. This is unprofessional and I am not comfortable with it” I chided. In that moment, Brian reached out abruptly and caug

“Shall we?” Ethan said as he pulled out his hand for me to take.I looked at the flowers he bought me and my heart rejoiced a bit. I handed it to Ma Jane who received it and wished us a wonderful dinner date.“Take care, my Child” she said“Have fun, Avery. I mean real fun” grandma peller blurted out mischievously and my face flushed knowing what she meant.Ethan and Josh’s eyes met and they greeted each other with a firm masculine handshake.I walked beside Ethan, feeling the warmth radiating from him.We arrived at a very fancy restaurant. It was a fancy restaurant with low lights catching the glow of candles that flickered with deliberate warmth.Ethan led me to our table, and his gaze lingered on mine with that easy steadiness I had grown to admire. We sat opposite each other as we settled into our dinnerEthan and I started talking. We spoke about little things and larger ones. Ethan made me laugh so much that I forgot the stress of the past days. He then looked into m

“Love you'd look good in these” Ethan said with a goofy smile as he pulled out a black tonge from my pile of clothes. I rolled my eyes at his nasty thought but I couldn't stop the smile from spreading across my face. It's the day before our vacation and the room seemed to be humming with a nervous excited energy. Ethan is right beside me, helping me pack. He kept teasing me at the slightest opportunity, just like before. The maid arrived with a knock on the door. She had brought us breakfast. I took it from her with a smile.I turned and found Ethan already immersed in reading my diary. He glanced over the page with so much seriousness that made my heart skip and my face turned pink in embarrassment.I immediately dropped the tray of food and ran towards him reaching out to snag the book but he held it upward way above my reach.“Oh I forgot how tall he is” I thought to myselfHe had a spark in his eyes as he continued to read aloud and eventually lingered in a line that made me crin
