“Hmm, let's see. They need to have food, I am sure. Also, many of the fairies are healers, so they need to grow their herbs.” Xylia told him. “So they have to work to get those things. Right?”“Correct, but that is a long way to go with that stuff. These fairies are lazy. Since you have given them a home.” The Brownie glared at the homes.“I see, so we need to get them to work.” Xylia moved her hand, and the house vanished; the fairies all looked shocked, then looked up at her. One grew to a normal human height to speak to her.“Why did you take our homes?” She whined, looking at Xylia.“I am told that you have grown lazy due to my gift,” Xylia told her with a sigh.“Well, we…Umm.” The fairy twisted her foot in the dirt.“That is not acceptable. You have jobs and need to keep up with your chorus. The King and your people rely on you for those things. If this village is going to make you lazy, then it will go away.” Xylia told her and saw the sadness in the Fairy's eyes.“NO! Please do

“Queen Asherah was the first to receive the flower; she had three that vied for her heart. In the end, she married an elf by the name of Haela. He almost died to save her from the second man trying to win her heart. Sad, really, that the man wouldn’t take no for an answer.” Rayne had tears in her eyes. Then moved down the hall a little way. “This is Queen Kaia, who was the second to last to get the flower. She would never marry her love, sadly, he would die. The man who vied for her heart didn’t like that he didn’t get her. So he killed her love. She wouldn’t marry. Died alone many years later, childless. The flower is a blessing and a curse to those who are gifted it.”“So I am cursed?” Xylia wanted to scream, or take the flower and burn it.Rayne said to her, "No, my dear, you are blessed." This does mean that you have more than one man who wants your heart.” Rayne told her, raising an eyebrow. “I know about Slyven.”“I got the flower at my little Village I made when I was with Ehla

“I told you, he is a knight. He can’t do what you told him to do.” Xylia told her with a bright smile.“I have to kill him then.” Vica sighed as she moved to get a knife.“Lucian, if you can hear me through the pain, GO to my house now!” Xylia yelled at him.Lucian seemed to understand enough to vanish from the cave. He was still screaming in pain when he vanished. Vica came back to see that Lucian was gone. She screamed, looking at Xylia.“Where did he go?” Vica glared at her.“Not here, it would seem.” Xylia laughed as she looked at Vica. The slap came out of nowhere. Vica was pissed. The pain wouldn’t stop for days, and Xylia would find a dark place to hide. The light that had once been the heart of her life was hidden away. All of Fae had heard her screams, but no one knew where to find her.****************************“Dimitri, did she come home?” Rayne asked when she came into the house.“No, I didn’t see her.” Dimitri looked at his wife with worry.“What? She left hours ago. W

“You have that right, Elf Queen who forgets who her friends are. The ones that might be able to break the spell that is on a certain knight that might help a Princess.” Willow flowed into the room with anger at her back, pure anger that seemed to smack all the parents in the room who had neglected to call her.“You didn’t have to get all angry,” Nix told her with a huff. “I suggested calling you.”“As did I,” Aarshon told her with a roll of his eyes.“Just because I have twin babies doesn’t mean I can’t come and help. I have a husband and older children who can watch them. Now, where is Lucian?” Willow asked, not really saying she was sorry to any of them.“This way,” Rayne told her as they walked down a hall, then turned left then down another hall two doors down, and into a room full of blues with pictures of nature and family. “He has been like this since he showed up at the house.”“The spell he was under broke, and with it broke a piece of himself. He had to hurt Xylia to get her

“So that I will turn dark, to give them the darkness they need to make me the Queen of Darkness to kill the fae realm,” Xylia explained. It didn’t take a moment for him to understand what she was talking about. He turned bitting the hag that had a hand on him. She screamed as he took off her hand. Slyven shifted, darting out of the room, then kept running. Xylia smiled brightly as she heard one screaming about her arm, another yelling to get the wolf or mutt, whatever it was. The third came over to cut Xylia’s thigh to punish her for what she had done.“Bleed me dry, I won’t give you what you want,” Xylia told her, her voice weak.“I might just do that,” Minx yelled at her as she cut Xylia again, but this time Xylia screamed from the pain. The glass ball on her chest started to fill with darkness.****************Two years, it had been two years since Xylia had been taken, and they couldn’t find her. Darkness was overtaking the realm, and none knew where it was coming from. Even Slyv
