Raven's POV Monday afternoon, there was a pep rally in the gym for the upcoming lacrosse championship. I tried to skip it, but my math teacher made everyone go. I sat in the back bleachers, hoping nobody would notice me. Alaric found me anyway and sat down beside me. The rally started with the cheerleaders doing a routine. Luella was front and center looking perfect as always. Then Dante and the lacrosse team ran out, and everyone went crazy, cheering. I tried to focus on anything else. My phone, my shoes, the exit sign across the gym. But then someone threw something at me. A crumpled piece of paper hit the back of my head.
