"Wait, you are Alexander's daughter?" Paul's words made Serene turn stiff. She absolutely loath being called Alexander's daughter. She hated being judged for her father's deeds more. Except for being born his daughter, she did nothing wrong. She turned to face Paul with a stiff smile. "Sir, My father is indeed Alexander Rivera. But I don't think my character should be judged by his deeds. Excuse me" she murmured before leaving his room. Paul was taken aback by her words. She just said a few words very camly, but the impact of those words managed to make him speechless. He hates Alexander Rivera so much, and that too for a good reason. But never in his entire life did someone pointed out his narrow mindedness so blatantly. "Damn, this grand daughter in law of mine is more head strong than that grand son of mine. No wonder he is so hell bent on marrying her" he thought with a troubled frown. Paul still couldn't accept the fact that Dante is going to be Alexander's son in law. But

Serene was driving for over an hour now. The road is almost deserted and only a car or two can be seen here and there. The land on either sides of the highway is all dry sand and desert plants. Nothing much. Its just dry sand for as far as one could see. 'Where is he? Did he find out about my dad's plan? But that's not possible in such a short time. That too with his mobile constantly unavailable. Where are you Dante?' Serene started to wonder. Sun started to descend and its started to become dark. If it was any darker, she would have missed the familiar black car which is parked away from highway. Without many street lights, its hard to see anything which is off road. When she found Dante's black car which was pulled over into the sand that is more than a hundred meters away from the highway, she panicked. When she saw the bullet holes marking his car, she started to think the worst. She slammed on the brakes as tires screeched to a stop. She is trying to attraction of her da

In the Rivera mansion, Alexander is pacing the length of his study with anticipation. He sent his men to kill Dante, so he is waiting for their call confirming that Dante is dead. Instead of the call, Vincent arrived with a deep frown etching his features. "What is it?" Alexander demanded. He didn't like the look on Vincent's face. Vincent hesitated briefly before he decided to tell. "Brother, Dante escaped. Our men were saying that he was coughing up blood. They thought they almost got him. But someone helped him to escape. They couldn't see who it was. They heard a woman's voice. But they didn't come back to Creekwood. They are still in Montana. Our men are trying to trace them. As soon as they find him, they kill the woman along with Dante. Alexander frowned deeply. "A woman? Who is she?" he demanded. He didn't even suspected that it must be his duty full daughter Serene. He knows how scared she is of him. So the thought didn't even cross his mind. "Can it be, Serene?" Vi

"Go get ready and marry Lorenzo" Alexander ordered his daughter the moment she entered. Joseph took her white coat and stethoscope from her trembling fingers, feeling pitiful for her. He heard that Dante is hurt and he wouldn't be here to stop this wedding from happening. Joseph wanted to help Serene, but with so many eyes and ears around him, he didn't dare to act rashly. Serene is stunned to hear Alexander's words. She glanced at Lorenzo whom she immediately recognized. He tried to misbehave with her more times than she could count. If not for Dante, Lorenzo might have had his way more times than she could count. Alexander barely paid attention to his daughter. 'What do you mean dad? I am Dante's fiance' she wanted to protest. But her words caught in her throat. She couldn't get a single word out infront of Alexander. "Take her away. Get her ready quickly. Priest will be here soon" Alexander commanded. Serene barely noticed the wedding planners bustling around the mansion tr

Serene, who was waiting for the pain to explode on her skin is surprised when it never came. Her gaze was down cast while she was pushed down to the floor. She was covering her on instinct to protect as much as she could. For a moment she turned into a little girl who was ruthlessly punished by her father for defending her mother. Her eyes filled with terror and her unshed tears were clinging to her long lashes. Alexander glared at the owner of the hand who dared to stop him. "Dante Volcov, step aside right this instance before I order my men to kill you" Alexander sneered. Serene immediately lifted her head to see Dante. He was already looking at her with an unreadable expression on his face. Despite Alexander's threat, Dante completely ignored him. "Dante" Serene whispered. She looked vulnerable like a lost rabbit amidst the beasts that are ready to devour her whole. "Come" Dante extended his other hand in her direction, as if ask
