ELIAS'S POVI couldn't sleep that night. Kept replaying Hale's words in my head.“You were always a test subject.”Everything I thought I knew about my life was wrong. My admission to the Academy wasn't because I was clever. It wasn't because my forged documents were good enough. It was because they wanted me here. Needed me here for their research.I got up around three AM. Went to Ronan's desk. Pulled out the documents Hale had given us.My admission file was on top. I read through it again. Slowly this time. Every word. Every note.“Subject Elias Caelum. Age 18. Male Omega. Admitted under false Alpha designation. Forged medical records approved for program enrollment. Academic potential: high. Physical capability: above average. Psychological stability: acceptable with monitoring.”They'd evaluated me like I was livestock. Rated my worth. Decided I was useful enough to study. There were more notes. Dated throughout my time at the Academy.Month 1: Subject adapting well. No signs of

ELIAS'S POVThe central campus courtyard was busy at noon. Students everywhere. Walking to classes. Sitting on benches. Talking in groups.Perfect. Public. Witnessed. Harder for anything bad to happen with so many people around. We arrived early. Found a spot near the fountain. Open area. Clear sightlines. Could see anyone approaching.Ronan stood beside me. Tense. Alert. Ready to fight if needed."You think he'll come alone?" I asked."If he doesn't, we leave immediately.""And if he does?""Then we listen. Carefully."Kieran and Chen were positioned nearby. Not obvious but close enough to help if things went bad. Lee and Marcus watched from a distance. Backup.Hale stayed hidden. Too risky for him to be seen. If program administrators spotted him, everything would accelerate. At exactly one PM, Mercer appeared. Walking across the courtyard. Alone. No weapon visible. Hands in plain sight. He saw us. Walked over slowly. Non-threatening."Thank you for meeting me," he said."You have

RONAN'S POVWe didn't sleep. How could we?At eleven PM, another message came from Mercer.“Emergency meeting. Tonight. Can't wait until morning. Too much to discuss. Hale agrees. Old library basement. Midnight. Bring everyone. -Mercer”So here we were. Midnight. All of us gathered in the basement again. Exhausted but wired on adrenaline.Mercer arrived first. Then Hale. The two of them stood on opposite sides of the room. Not hostile exactly. But not friendly either."Thank you for coming on short notice," Mercer said. "I know it's late. But we have seven days. We need to use every hour.""What's the plan?" I asked directly. No time for pleasantries.Mercer pulled out a tablet. "I've been compiling everything I know. Everything Hale knows. Everything you've discovered. The scope is bigger than any of us realized."He showed us a map. Academy locations marked across the country. Red dots indicating hidden Omega students."This Academy has seven subjects. But there are three other acad

RONAN'S POVEveryone gathered in the library basement within the hour. Elias, Kieran, Chen, Lee, Marcus. Even Hale showed up, looking more worried than usual.Mercer stood at the center with his tablet. "We have a problem. A big one.""What kind of problem?" I asked."Vale. Instructor Vale. I found something in the program files. Something I should have noticed earlier.""What?"He pulled up documents. Medical records. Monitoring reports. All marked with Vale's name."Vale has been part of the program for ten years. Since before it officially started. He's not just a subject. He's been actively participating. Reporting on students. Documenting their behavior. Feeding information to program administrators.""That's not possible," Chen said. "Vale has been helping us. Protecting students.""Has he? Or has he been gathering information while pretending to protect you?"Mercer showed more files. Reports written by Vale. Detailed observations about students. Their behavior patterns. Social

RONAN'S POVWe spent the next two hours finalizing everything. Evidence. Testimony. Coordination with media and lawyers. The basement had transformed into a command center. Laptops everywhere. Documents spread across tables. Phones constantly buzzing with updates.Mercer was on a call with government oversight. "Yes, I understand. Multiple subjects across four academies. Unauthorized research spanning five years. We have documentation. We have testimony. We need immediate intervention."He listened. His jaw tightened. "No, we cannot wait for standard procedures. The exposure is happening today. In less than two hours. If you don't act now, these students lose all protection."More listening. Then he hung up. Looked frustrated."What did they say?" Hale asked."They're sending investigators. But it'll take days to process everything officially. Days we don't have.""So we're on our own for the assembly.""Yes. But at least the investigation is starting. Once oversight gets involved, th
