Chapter Fifty-OneI nodded and Spencer brushed his fingers over the top of my arm. “We do have some shopping to do later. If you would like to have some things ready for us?”“Of course. I look forward to dressing your mate for you.” Glinda said, letting go of my hand before she slipped out of the booth.I watched her walk away, feeling like my world had changed so very much. In such a short time, I had gone from one of Glinda’s employees to a woman that she would be dressing. The door closed behind her and I looked over at Spencer, worrying my bottom lip. “I know how much things cost there. Spencer, it’s too much. You can-““I can and I will.” He smirked, leaning closer to press his lips to mine. “You are mine, sweet Andreena and I take care of what’s mine. Besides, did you see how happy that fae was to dress you? You can’t take that away from her.”“Fae? You mean like fairies?” I asked, my mouth falling open. “Glinda is a fairy?”“Fae, yes. I guess you could call her a fairy.” Spenc

Chapter Fifty-ThreeI grabbed the curving metal door handle and held the door open for my mate. My lips twitching as she dipped her head in thanks as she walked inside the shop.Following after her, I looked around the shop. Glinda had redone it since the last time I had been here. Large cream colored tapestries hung from the ceiling with pale lavender ties holding them open. The clothes still looked the same, but more spring colored items were on display.Everything felt airy and I could smell that sweet herbal scent that all fae creatures seemed to have. Almost like flowers, but not quiet, just that. It was a pleasant smell and I could understand why so many of their kind were well liked by other paranormal creatures.I’d heard once that it was because of the realm they came from. The remainder of the fae realm clinging to their system, giving them that little boost of magics. That it could be addictive to us.“Andreena. I’m so happy you came in.” Glinda called out from somewhere de

Chapter Fifty-FiveI sucked in a shuddering breath, dropping my hand to the side. Walking over to the door, I straightened my shoulders. Holding my head high, I twisted the doorknob and walked out of the fitting room.Spencer’s eyes met mine and I could see that possessive gleam in his eyes that bordered on obsession. Like he knew he owned every part of me and was happy about it. Something about that look filled me with confidence that I hadn’t felt before.I walked closer to him, my hips swaying from side to side before I stopped in front of him. Doing a little spin, I could feel his eyes moving over my body. Tracing every part of me and I felt my nipples harden as I stopped to look down at him. His fingers were gripping the armrests of the seat and his eyes had that glow to them. His beast was watching me hungrily.“Do you like it?” I asked, bringing my hand up to trail my fingers over the top band above my breasts. The muscle in Spencer’s jaw jumped and I felt a thrill shoot up my

Chapter Fifty-Seven“My keys are in my purse at your place.” She frowned over at me.Brushing her hand away from the door, I reached for the knob. Giving it a hard twist, the lock gave way and the door opened up for us. I stepped back, ushering her inside.Andreena stepped into the house and I followed, closing the door behind us. Reaching up, she braced a hand against the wall and started to lift one foot off the ground while reaching for her heel.I looked at the running shoes beside the door, they were the only pair there. By the size alone, I could tell that they were Andreena’s. I didn’t know why she was stripping off her shoes for them when they hadn’t done the same for her.“Leave them on.” I said, my voice sounded loud as it broke the silence of the house. She looked up at me, lowering her foot to the ground when she realized what I was telling her. “Force of habit.”“I know, but you don’t need to do that for them.”“You’re right.” She nodded, closing her eyes before opening t

Chapter Fifty-NineSpencer’s hand moved up my back with a soft caress. It eased some of the ache in my chest and I tucked myself tighter against him. His warm scent filled my scenes making it easier to breathe. I could focus on him and forget everything else but my time with him.Being here like this, having him here to comfort me. It helped some. I had thought that if it came to this, if he heard my sister or Nolan talk to me like she had. That I would be embarrassed but it didn’t feel that way at all. I was glad that he had been there and that he was here now.My crying stopped as his hand continued to rub my back. Hiccoughing as I felt my body relax against him.“Are you okay, Andreena?” He asked softly.“Y, yeah. No, I don’t know.” I pulled my head away from his neck, my eyes catching sight of his shirt. The material was wet with my tears. “Fuck, I’ve ruined your shirt. I’m sorry.”“That doesn’t matter. Ruin all of my shirts if you want.” Spencer kissed the top of my head, shifti
