Lahat ng Kabanata ng How To Tame The Savage Alpha: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

I knocked on the door to Jane's room, but there was no response.I tried the handle—it was unlocked, after a moment of uncertainty, I let myself in, shutting the door behind me.Jane's room was exactly what you'd imagine a general's would look like.A map with marked out locations hung on the wall. The other side of the wall was occupied with weapons, ranging from bow and arrows, to guns and other types of weaponry. I ignored the urge to reach for one of the weapons. At another corner was a shelf, filled with books about pack history—The sound of glass shattering cut off my train of thoughts; It came from the room. Following the sound I’d heard, I made my way to the door and pushed it open. “Jane–”The sight before me left me speechless. It was Jane and… Liam on the bed, having sex. The sound I'd heard was a mug which seemed to have dropped from the drawer beside them.I immediately shut my eyes.“I'm sorry, I didn't see anything.”I quickly hurried out of the room.I only managed t

“You're on your heat, aren't you?” “No, of course not,” I countered.“It's not really something you can hide. During this period, your scent becomes stronger to every unmated male.”“What does that even mean?”“It means you become way more desirable… sexually.”And just like that, I turned red as a tomato. But my embarrassment quickly faded, as the pain hit again, harder and I whimpered.“When I think the pain can get any worse, I’m proven wrong. How am I supposed to endure this for the next twenty four hours?” I hadn’t even realized I'd said that out loud.“You won't. I'll go inform the Alpha.”“No.” I quickly rose from the bed, but lost my balance. He caught me before I hit the floor. “Not Asher—just not him.”“Kate, he is the only one who can help you right now.”“Well I don't care.”“So you'd rather go through this-–than go to your mate?”“Exactly.”“Goddess, you're stubborn.”“I know.” He led me back to the bed. “Is there any other way to numb the pain? perhaps some portion I c

One year ago he couldn’t even take a single step on his own,” Rachel clapped back.“In the face of real battle, he is no more than a cripple.”“He's just a boy, Alpha Storm—your child.”He slapped her hard enough to send her head slamming against the wall. When she straightened, I noticed the split on her lips, the blood trickling from her nose and the imprint of my father's hand on the side of her face.“This… thing is no child of mine. A weak creature like him can never have my blood running through his veins.”“I apologize, for speaking out of turn,” Rachel quickly corrected, but that did nothing to tame his fury.My father turned to me. “Do you feel sorry for her?” he motion

I paced my room, unable to calm my thoughts.Brian was right, Finn did deserve what he’d got, but that did nothing to help the worry I felt. I was supposed to keep them all in check, I was supposed to stop things like this from happening, but I’d failed at the one task I'd been assigned to.A knock echoed at the door, and when I opened it, I found myself face to face with Asher. Suddenly every worry I’d previously felt vanished and all I could think about was what happened only hours ago.He was dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, his wet hair falling over his dark eyes and I… I was sweaty and a complete mess. I ran my hands through my hair, in an attempt to straighten it, but my wild hair couldn’t be that easily tamed.“Are you going to let me in, Kitten?”“Oh—yeah.” I threw the door open, “Make yourself at home—well this is already your place, so that doesn’t really seem like the right thing to say. What I was going to say is… make yourself comfortable,” I rambled. He walke

Tony nodded slowly, but the fury never left his eyes as he turned around and walked away.“Spread out, soldiers.” Brian ordered the rest and they walked off, each in a different direction. Finally Brian's turned to me.“Tony is right, I should have—”“No, there was nothing you could have done. Finn did that to himself.”“I’m supposed to keep everyone safe,”“And that’s exactly what you did by doing nothing. Tony is grieving, don’t take his words to mind, he didn't mean them.”That did nothing to convince me though, and I was left wondering if all Tony had said was truly what our soldiers thought about me. Did they really think I'd gotten comfortable here? Did they believe I'd willingly become no more than the Alpha’s play thing? And were they right to think that? I thought back to the night I’d shared a bed with Asher—how my body yearned for his touch, and how my heart just couldn't still anytime he was near. I couldn’t deny that I was sexually attracted to him, but that didn’t mea
