Chapter 91: Mentor

HenryI understand Piper’s concern about me going to see Gage alone. I am most likely walking into a pack that is in chaos with an Alpha that has no control of his pack. It’s not ideal, but I’m also not a new Alpha. I know how to handle chaos, and I also know that I’m stronger since completing my bond with Piper. Her power has become mine and my mate is one powerful woman.I arrived at the guard gate, was told that I was expected, and to head to the packhouse. Even from the guard, I could feel the tension in the pack. A pack is only as strong as their Alpha. This pack has not only lost their previous Alpha and their current Alpha, they lost one of their Alpha heirs and their Beta, all over the course of a few weeks. I’m sure hearing that Alpha Glenn was sent to prison didn’t help the pack feel settled. So, when I walk into chaos, I’m not surprised. As I pull up to the packhouse, I see Gage facing off against five other wolves. I don’t know how large this pack is, but a large portion of

Chapter 92: Saying Goodbye to the Past

PiperHenry told me about his meeting with Gage and that it went very well. He returned to the pack on Tuesday, and returned to the Academy on Wednesday night with Gavin for Grady’s trial. We talked with Gavin about the trial and surprisingly, he seems a lot better this week. I’m not sure if it’s Henry’s presence in his life of if he’s just accepted that our father and brother are horrible people. Either way, I was thankful that he seemed prepared for the worst in court.Walking into court, I had another surprise. It wasn’t Vivienne sporting yet another new bruise, that seems to be the norm in her life these days. However, Gage was waiting for us. As soon as we walked in, he walked up to us.“Hey, Henry,” he said as if his hero just walked into the room. “Hey, Piper. Hey, Gavin. I was wondering if it would be okay if I sat with all of you today.”My eyebrows raised so high that I’m pretty sure they touched my hairline. I mean, I know my mate is amazing, but I didn’t know he could make

Epilogue 1: Mates

ZachToday is the day! Graduation is finally here. Today we all find out if we’ve made an elite squad and, if so, which one. Everyone is pretty confident that Yorick is going to get the spot on the C-Squad and now that Piper pulled herself out of the running for Alpha Squad, I’m feeling good about earning one of the two positions on that squad. Chase and Megan are my competition, but since there is also a spot on the Beta Squad, I feel like all of us will get a spot somewhere. Most of us stayed up all night, wanting to spend our last night together. It’s been a crazy year with so many things happening that it just feels like the year raced by. I never thought when I started here that I’d end up making the close friendships that I have. I know that our friendships will extend beyond graduation.I was thrilled that Alpha Henry didn’t argue about Piper and I continuing our friendship. Of course, I never gave him a reason to think that I was competing with him, because I wasn’t. I love Pip

Epilogue 2: Graduation

PiperChaos. You’d think with only nineteen of us it would be a simple graduation ceremony. But no, Zach had to go and find his mate, stopping the entire ceremony so he could go kiss her. And it’s Cyra’s cousin of all people.I’m actually very happy about it. He’ll be part of the family, extended family for Henry and I, but family for Cyra and Yorick. And since Sadique is coming to the Academy next year, it should be easy for the two of them to be together.I was happy to see that Sadique seemed just as happy to have found her mate as Zach. He deserves that happiness. As he walks back to the line, grinning like the damn Cheshire Cat, I look at the group of people who are here to cheer for me, Cyra, and Yorick. My brothers are here and Gavin waves. I wave back, but frown when I don’t see Vivienne.‘Henry, where’s Vivienne?’ I ask in the mind link.‘She just pulled up. Q linked her. She said she'll be right in.’I breathe a sigh of relief. I know it’s tough for her to get here, but this
