Sara I stared at him, my mouth still open because my brain was stuck on whatever mess he just dropped and I could barely keep up after the phone call with Mom and everything else crashing down tonight. “What the hell Renaldo you said Rowan isn’t my biological dad or something like that but now you’re backtracking start over and actually make sense this time because I’m two seconds from walking out and pretending none of this happened.”He rubbed the back of his neck again and his eyes kept flicking down to my chest for a second before snapping back up to my face like he was trying not to but couldn’t help it and that just made my face heat up more. “Okay okay I messed it up before I was trying to explain but yeah Kacy is your stepdad right not your real dad and he’s my uncle too so that whole cousin thing we thought was going on it doesn’t actually work like that Rowan is your dad and he’s my dad too but with Kacy in the mix as stepdad for you guys and uncle for me it makes us more l

Sara He stopped and looked at me. “Okay. We do not have to. But let me make you feel good a little more. You were so wet downstairs.”I nodded but my voice shook. “Just a little. Then I go back. This is messing with my head. Step brother basically. What are we thinking?”His fingers slipped inside my underwear and rubbed me. I bit my lip to stay quiet. It felt amazing but guilt sat heavy in my chest. “Renaldo this is wrong. Even if step. Saphira is right down the hall. She is my twin. I pushed her away earlier and now this.”“You are overthinking,” he whispered. He kissed me while his fingers moved. “It feels good right? Forget the labels for a minute.”I gasped and held his arm. “It does feel good. But I feel bad too. Mom’s words keep playing in my head. Extra kid. And now I am in bed with you. Step sibling. I should stop.”He kept going and I got close fast. Emotions mixed up. Want and doubt fighting. When I came I buried my face in his shoulder to muffle it. My body shook but tear

Sara I found my clothes in the dim light and pulled them on quick. My legs felt wobbly but I managed. Renaldo watched me from the bed, looking satisfied and a little worried. “Text me if you need anything,” he said. I rolled my eyes but grinned. “Yeah yeah. Night.” I peeked out the door, hallway still clear, and slipped back to my room without a sound. Saphira had not moved. I climbed into my bed and pulled the covers up, body buzzing and satisfied in a way I had not felt in forever. My mind was quieter too. The tension that had been choking me all night finally loosened. Whatever we were now, secret or not, it felt like a start instead of just confusion.I had just started drifting off when I heard Saphira shift in her bed. The lamp clicked on. I froze under the covers. “Sara,” she said, voice quiet but sharp. I turned over slow. She was sitting up staring right at me, eyes narrowed like she had been waiting. “You went to his room, didn’t you?” My stomach dropped but I tried to pla

Liv My eyes filled with tears again fast. “Kacy do not say that. I do love you. I chose this life with you.” He cut me off before I could keep going. “You love me but you are not in love with me. Not the way you were with him. I have known it for a long time. It is okay.”I started crying properly then, reaching for his hand. My heart hurt because I knew he was speaking from a place of pain. I never wanted him to feel like he was only someone I settled for. “Please stop. I do love you. We built a home together. The girls. Everything we have, everything we created, it matters to me.”He squeezed my hand, holding it gently, but his voice stayed steady. There was sadness in his eyes, but he looked like he had already accepted this truth a long time ago. “We will still co-parent the kids no matter what. They come first. But if Rowan ever comes back for you Liv, you should go for him. You deserve your happy ending and maybe he does too.”I shook my head hard, and the tears would not stop.

Liv Renaldo swallowed. “I knew I was not your biological son, Dad. I started noticing things when I was younger. I was always more interested in football, but you loved basketball. We were different in so many ways. People even said we did not look alike.”Rowan’s face changed as he listened.“I did not want to believe it at first,” Renaldo continued. “But I saved money and did a paternity test. I found out the truth myself.”Kayla covered her mouth as tears fell down her face. “Renaldo…”“I am sorry,” he said, looking between them. “I did not want to hurt either of you. I did not want Mom to feel like she failed, and I did not want Dad to feel like he was not my real father.”He stepped closer to Rowan. “But you are still my dad. You raised me. You taught me things. You were there for every important moment in my life. A test cannot change that.”Rowan looked down, his eyes red.“I should have told you too,” Renaldo said. “I should not have kept it from you. I was just scared that e
