🖱️Jane🖱️I had been watching him for what felt like forever. The hospital room had been my world for a month, and he had been trapped in a deep sleep the whole time. Every single day, I’d sit there, barely blinking, barely breathing, just staring at him. Just waiting for him to open his eyes. My heart had been aching, my chest tight with worry, every second feeling like I was losing him all over again. And then, finally, he moved. His eyelids fluttered, and the color in his eyes returned slowly, like the sunrise chasing away a long, bitter night.“Jane…”His voice was faint, broken, but it was enough to undo me. Tears I had been holding back for weeks spilled over, hot and relentless, running freely down my cheeks. My hands shook as I reached toward him, needing to touch him, to make sure he was real.“You crying, Jane?” His lips curved into a small, sleepy smile. And that smile… it shattered me further, because it was him, finally, here, alive. My tears flowed even faster.“You loo

🖱️Jayden🖱️ “Baby, you need to eat something.” Sammy’s voice was soft but steady, though I could see the edge of pain behind it. He was trying not to break, trying not to crumble in front of me, but I knew him too well. I could see it in his eyes, that familiar storm he always fought to hide. I shook my head slowly, my hands trembling as I clutched the blanket tighter around me. “Do… do you know how he… how he died?” I asked, keeping my voice as calm as I could, though the tremor betrayed me. It felt impossible to ask, even now, but I needed to know. The night… last night had been ours. It had been perfect, full of warmth and closeness, and I had woken this morning to a pain in my chest and a hollow ache in my neck. I had thought it was normal after everything but now the truth pressed down on me, heavy and suffocating. Sammy swallowed hard. “It’s… it’s been a full month, Jayden.” His words were careful, deliberate. “A full month since that night. You were… in a sleeping state. You

🖱️Jayden🖱️ “Do you want me around, or should I come over with your dada?” The voice on the phone was calm, familiar, and strong, and I could feel the weight of concern in every word. I wiped the fresh tears from my cheeks, trying to straighten my back, trying to pull myself together. I forced a smile even though it felt fragile, shaky at best. “Papa… I’m supposed to rule a world. I have to be a man… a boy who still needs his papa and dada can’t rule,” I said, my voice carrying the conflict I felt inside. There was a pause on the other side, and then his warm, steady voice cut through the fog of my grief. “And who said that, son? My son is a very strong man. He can do anything he sets his mind to. You think ruling is just sitting on a throne? No, son. It’s being patient. It’s knowing when to speak and when to listen. It’s understanding your people, even when your heart aches for someone you’ve lost. You are strong, Jayden. Don’t let grief make you forget that.” I swallowed hard, t

🖱️Sammy🖱️I still can’t believe he was truly gone even after one full year of his death, and the fact that I’m now king and done with college while Jayden is still in school, mostly home-schooled, is something I’m still adjusting to. Some days it hits me like a punch in the chest, that Victor isn’t going to walk into the room with that smug smile of his, teasing both of us, or reminding me that I still can’t beat him at chess no matter how many times I try. And yet, here we are, running the entire supernatural world together, carrying his memory like a torch that never dims, making sure his sacrifice wasn’t wasted.Jayden’s been incredible through all of it, though, showing a strength I never knew he had. Every time we meet with rulers from different kingdoms, I can see him learning, observing, adapting, and somehow managing to stay compassionate while wielding a power most people couldn’t even dream of controlling. The way he talks to them, the way he listens to the citizens, it’

🖱️Jayden🖱️The first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains, making the whole palace shimmer in gold, and I couldn’t help but smile even though the morning air still carried a little weight of last year’s grief. It had been a full year since Victor’s passing, and some days it felt like yesterday, like his laugh could echo in the halls any moment, and some days it felt like a lifetime, like the world had shifted and we were just trying to catch up. But today wasn’t about grief it was about celebration. The Festival of Light had been announced months ago, a festival where every kingdom, every supernatural race, and every magical citizen would gather to celebrate the balance we’d fought so hard to preserve. And I, along with Sammy, would be at the heart of it, not as scared kids anymore, but as rulers who had survived, who had loved, and who had carried a fallen king’s legacy forward.I stretched and felt Sammy’s warmth beside me. He was still half-asleep, curls messy, and yet

Epilogue 1

🖱️Jayden🖱️“You look beyond beautiful, Jane,” I said as I stood by the doorway watching my best friend stare at herself in the mirror, adjusting the edge of her wedding veil like she was inspecting a masterpiece.Jane slowly turned her head toward me, a confident smile already forming on her face.“I know,” she said proudly. “I’m the most beautiful girl of all time.”I let out a small laugh and shook my head, walking further into the room while looking at her from head to toe. The dress really was perfect. Soft white silk flowed down her body and tiny crystals caught the sunlight pouring through the window, making her look like she was glowing.“But are you certain that you really want to get married to River?” I asked with a teasing smile. “I mean I could still get you a better man if you want. I’m a king, Jane. I have options.”Jane gasped dramatically and placed a hand over her chest like I had just deeply offended her.“A better man?” she repeated slowly. “Jayden, please. River

Epilogue 2

🖱️Jayden🖱️“You are my everything, Jayden,” Sammy’s voice cracked as he stood there, eyes glistening under the soft sunlight filtering through the cathedral windows. His hands shook just slightly as he held mine, but there was no hesitation in his gaze, only a depth of love that made my chest ache. “From the first moment I saw you, I knew my world had changed. I knew that no matter what storms came, no matter how far the darkness reached, I would never stop fighting for you, for us. You are my fire, my peace, and my home, and today I vow to love you endlessly, to protect you fiercely, and to never let you face the world alone, even when it tries to break you. I promise to carry your heart with mine, to lift you when you fall, and to always be the voice that reminds you how remarkable, how breathtaking, and how fiercely loved you are.”His words hit me like a tidal wave. I felt my throat tighten, my eyes burn, and I could barely catch my breath. I had imagined this day a thousand t

Author note

Well… we did it. It ended on a cliffhanger, but we did it regardless. After months of heartbreak, suspense, and rivalry, they finally got married. There will be a sequel for this story based on Victor, Jayden, and Sammy. It’s going to be a short story, about 50 to 70 chapters, but that will come right after Alexandra’s story, which has already started. Thank you for going on this journey with me for four months… y’all really stayed for four whole months, and that’s insane. I truly appreciate every single one of you, your comments, your support, I love all of it. And lastly, I have one favor to ask. Go back to the main book’s details and leave a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review.
