Alpha Kingsley POVEver since the incident at that small town, I had been very disturbed and distracted. I don’t like when things are not within my control or grasp.I hate being kept in the dark or worse, being a pawn on the chessboard.I’m always the player. The mastermind. The one in control… not the other way around.Things were becoming too complicated and somehow interconnected at the same time, and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. It made me feel frustrated… unsettled. And I hate that feeling.I was so caught up in my thoughts that I ended up ignoring Olivia. Even after we arrived at the sacred Ground and were ushered into Blood Manor, my mind was elsewhere.I instructed the maids to take our things to the master bedroom. When we got there and they left…We just stood there.Quiet.Lost in our own separate worlds. The air in the room turned heavy and the world around us turned blur. Then something inside me snapped.Something I couldn't place or understand.I turned and walk

Alpha Kingsley POV Arrival at the venue for the meeting as stated in the letter given to all Lycan lords. The letter had stated that all Lycan lords were to meet with the elders in council for an important meeting and briefing, but the reason for the meeting wasn't mentioned, and emphasis had been laid on attendance. I arrived in front of the building. It was a one-story building constructed like a manor, with ancient architectural design, situated on a secluded part of the sacred ground. Two guards stood watch in front of the building as I approached. "Greetings, my Lord," they both bowed with respect. "Hmm," I nodded. "Have the others arrived?" I asked. "Yes, my Lord. Many lords have arrived and are already inside," one of them answered, their heads still bowed. They both stepped aside as I walked in. I took the stairs up to a narrow end on the first floor. In front stood a giant door that spoke of old age. I took out the invitation letter, and my fang protrude

Alpha Kingsley POV The hall remained lively, filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and forced pleasantries. But beneath it all… tension lingered and i could feel it. Like something lurking just beneath the surface. Waiting and watching. I stood quietly, a glass in my hand, observing the movements of the Alphas around me. Some laughed too loudly. Others spoke in hushed tones, their eyes constantly scanning the room. Most of them wore fake smiles and fawn looks that was both disgusting and repulsive. I hate social gatherings like this and all these two face bastards who were looking for opportunities to climb up the social ladder. Most Alpha lords were already building teams and roping in Alphas into their circles. I scoff at it. All of it. "Enjoying yourself?" A familiar voice slipped in from behind. Calm. Mocking. I didn’t need to turn to know who it was. Alpha Damien. I took a slow sip from my drink before glancing at him from the corner of my eye.

Olivia's POV "What just happened?" I asked myself. Everything happened so fast and suddenly, leaving me no room to react. Lucy stirred inside me, excited and energetic. "Are you okay?" I asked, but she didn't respond. "Could I have encountered a life changing opportunity, as in the rumors?" I thought. "Snap out of it, Olivia. How can you be delusional to believe you're that lucky?" I sighed dejectedly. Whatever happened, I didn't care, but I had to leave here immediately as I didn't fully understand what just happened. I turned around and began to walk back the way I came from, my mind still drifting towards what happened earlier. For some reason, after the earlier outburst of excitement from Lucy, she had gone completely silent, like she was dormant, as if in hibernation. And all efforts to communicate with her proved abortive. I took in a deep breath and, after a while, breathed out to calm my nerves, a habit I had formed over the years. I told myself I needed to r

Olivia POVOn getting back to the Blood Manor, I exhaled in relief. The sightseeing this time had been very intense and thrilling."Who was that man?""What did he mean by ancient treasures?"I thought as I tried to process everything that happened, but ended up getting more confused.Whatever it was, I shouldn’t bother about it anymore since I arrived back unharmed, I told myself, but my mind kept drifting back to that mysterious stranger. There was something about him I couldn’t place.I could feel it but couldn’t explain it, and that’s what intrigued me the most. His calm and soothing voice.Oh my moon goddess!I know he was handsome and hot, but it’s not as if he was the only handsome guy I had seen. Why was I fixed on him?Thinking of handsome men, Alpha Kingsley and David came to mind.David had this rough exterior, very muscular and bulky like a warrior. He was the manly type that appealed to fragile women and fangirls who dream of a knight in shining armor.Alpha Kingsley, my
