The trio had arrived at the bathhouse by 11 a.m., hoping to find solitude in the quiet hours. And of course their sugar daddy, Zhao Kai, had generously paid for the session, leaving Liu Jian and Yang Jun to grin at their luck. In the male locker room, they changed out of their clothes, slipping into freshly steamed bathrobes that felt like a warm hug against their skin. The place was eerily quiet, just as they had hoped; they were the only ones around. With a sense of ritual, they took quick showers, the hot water sluicing away the remnants of the night before. They then stepped into the large, square-shaped tub filled with steaming water. The moment they submerged, they collectively groaned in satisfaction, the water gently caressing their bodies, easing knots and tensions with its heat. For a moment, there was only silence, the kind that comes with the steam enveloping the air. Then Zhao Kai broke the tranquility, his voice echoing slightly off the tiled walls. "Alright, one o

The school day had finally ended, and the familiar bell rang out through the building, signaling freedom. Students poured out of classrooms and down stairwells, laughter and chatter filling the halls as they rushed to meet friends, catch buses, or simply escape the rigid structure of the week. Lockers were slammed shut, teachers called out half-hearted reminders, and the campus slowly began to empty as the weekend beckoned. Yang Jun, however, lingered. When Zhao Kai had asked earlier why he was not heading out with them as usual, Yang Jun had simply shrugged and said he had a few activities to wrap up. It was an excuse that sounded reasonable enough to avoid suspicion. He even waved them off with practiced ease, watching as they disappeared down the hall. But the truth was that Yang Jun had other plans. The art room was quiet in a way that felt rare for the school. Canvases leaned against the walls at odd angles, some half-finished, others abandoned entirely. Brushes sat soaking

A week had passed since the fire, yet Zhao Kai and Yang Jun still had not been able to properly reach Liu Jian. At first, they had tried constantly. Calls were placed at odd hours, messages sent early in the morning and late at night, each one carefully worded so it would not feel intrusive. Eventually, the calls stopped going through altogether, and the messages remained stubbornly unanswered. Or worse, they were read and left hanging in silence. There was no point continuing the futile attempts. Zhao Kai had not come to school yesterday or today, claiming through a short message that he was busy. He did not elaborate, and Yang Jun did not push. Still, the absence felt heavy. For the first time in a long while, Yang Jun found himself navigating the school day alone. It felt strange. Yang Jun had friends, plenty of them, but none who filled the space Zhao Kai and Liu Jian occupied in his life. Without them, the school felt too large, the hours dragging endlessly. He moved from cla

It was a lazy weekend afternoon, the kind where the sun filtered through half-drawn blinds in lazy golden stripes across the polished concrete floor. Zhao Kai and Liu Jian had finally had enough of Yang Jun's endless excuses and complaints. They decided—more like declared—that today was the day they would drag their clueless friend into the sacred realm of their gym routine. Zhao Kai's home gym served as the battleground: a spacious, air-conditioned room tucked away in the basement, decked out with every imaginable piece of equipment. Rows of gleaming dumbbells lined one wall, squat racks stood like silent sentinels, cardio machines hummed quietly in the corner, and the bright overhead LED lights cast sharp, clinical shadows over everything. The faint scent of rubber mats and metal lingered in the cool air.Yang Jun arrived already looking defeated, dressed in an oversized hoodie and mismatched shorts that screamed 'I DON'T BELONG HERE' He watched Zhao Kai and Liu Jian go throug

It was a scorching, humid Saturday, the kind that clings to your skin like a damp cloth and makes every breath feel heavy. The trio had decided to escape the oppressive heat by lounging in Zhao Kai’s luxurious pool—the kind with mosaic tiles that shimmered like liquid sapphire under the sun and a built-in waterfall that cost more than most people’s rent. Zhao Kai was perched on the edge, legs dangling lazily in the cool water, popping exorbitantly priced candies into his mouth one by one. They were imported via air from some tiny Russian village, apparently hand-made by babushkas who only worked during the full moon or whatever bullshit marketing line he’d been fed. He’d warned Yang Jun and Liu Jian not to even think about touching them, and honestly, they looked blissfully uninterested anyway. Still, despite the relaxed setting, Zhao Kai couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off in their dynamic today. Yang Jun and Liu Jian kept exchanging these quick, loaded glances w
