TANYA'S POVI didn’t sleep until three in the morning. Just lay there in the dark, Gina breathing slow and even across the room, Jess’s bed made up tight as nobody had ever slept in it. The empty nightstand kept catching my eye every time I rolled over. Eight months she’d been here. Eight months of sharing cereal at breakfast, fighting over the shower schedule, those late nights before midterms when we’d stay up talking about stuff I actually thought mattered.
