Aurora Salvatore Miles turned to me with a mischievous grin. “Truth or dare, Aurora?”“Truth,” I said quickly, wanting to play it as safe as possible. The whole group booed loudly, some people shaking their heads. “Boring! That’s no fun at all!” they shouted.“Fine… dare,” I muttered, my heart hammering in my chest.Miles leaned forward, his green eyes gleaming. “I dare you to seduce me right now and make me hard in front of everyone.”His breathing was heavy and ragged as his intense eyes bored straight into mine, the city lights twinkling far below us.“Tell me why you did that down there,” he demanded, his deep voice low and filled with something I couldn’t quite figure out yet.The entire circle erupted in loud laughter, even Elly joining in. “Do it, sis! Or are you too much of a shy bookworm who doesn’t have what it takes?” Elly mocked, her words cutting deeper than I expected. I didn’t know she would embarrass me so publicly like this. The challenge hurt my pride, but it also s

Aurora Salvatore “What exactly do you want from me, Charlie?” I demanded, my voice sharper than I had ever heard it before. My chest was still heaving from the slap, my palm burning where it had connected with his face. The red mark on his cheek looked even more obvious now under the soft glow of the balcony lights, but he didn’t seem angry. If anything, his dark eyes were burning with something far more dangerous than rage.Charlie stared down at me, his tall frame still dominating the space even though he had taken half a step back. The cool night breeze whipped between us, tugging at my short black dress and sending strands of my black hair across my face. He reached out slowly and brushed the hair away from my eyes, his fingers lingering on my cheek for a second longer than necessary. That simple touch sent an unwanted spark straight through my body.“I want you to stop pretending,” he said, his deep husky voice low and rough. “You come to my party looking like sin in that dress,

Aurora Salvatore “So… when is this date happening?” I asked quietly, still trying to process that I was now officially Charlie Ford’s girlfriend in front of the entire party.Charlie smiled down at me, his arm still wrapped securely around my waist. “I will give you the full details tomorrow...little bunny.. But for now, let’s enjoy the rest of the night. No more games. Just you and me.”I nodded shyly, my cheeks still warm from the public kiss. To my surprise, the rest of the night turned out much better than I expected. Charlie stayed right by my side the whole time, introducing me to some of his business friends and making sure I felt comfortable. He was a complete gentleman ... his hand never wandered inappropriately, never slipped too low or touched me in a way that made me uncomfortable. He kept things respectful, even while being attentive. At one point, Sharon pulled me aside near the bar. “Girl, are you okay? That was wild earlier!”“I’m fine,” I said with a small laugh. “I

Aurora Salvatore “Ugh… why did I say yes?” I whispered to myself the moment I opened my eyes.I lay in bed for a long time, staring at the ceiling with my blanket pulled up to my chin. My head felt a little fuzzy from the shots I drank last night, but that wasn’t the main problem. The main problem was the tall, handsome man who had kissed me in front of everyone and called me his girlfriend. And I wouldn't lie, I kind of liked it. His lips tasted so sweet.I turned on my side and hugged my pillow tightly. “He’s too much, Aurora. You don’t even know how to act around guys like him. What if he realizes how boring you really are?”Just then, my door opened with a loud creak.“So it’s true,” Eliana said, walking straight into my room without asking. She was still in her red dress from last night, arms crossed tightly over her chest. “You’re really dating Charlie now?”I sat up slowly, pushing my messy black hair out of my face. “Elly… can we not do this right now? It’s barely morning.”

Aurora Salvatore “Are you going to reply to him right now?” Eliana asked, still standing at my door with that skeptical look on her face.I stared at her for a long moment, my fingers tightening around my phone. The flowers on my dresser filled the room with their sweet scent, and the beautiful dress was still laid out beautifully on my bed....Something inside me shifted. I crossed my arms over my chest, lifting my chin a little even though my heart was beating fast.“Yes,” I said firmly. “I am going to text him back.”Eliana’s eyebrows shot up. “Wow. Look at you. Already sounding desperate. One night and a few flowers and you’re running to reply like a lovesick puppy?”Her words stung, but I didn’t back down this time. I looked her straight in the eyes. “At least I didn’t throw myself at him all night like you did, Elly. I saw how you were acting at the party. So maybe don’t call me desperate.”Eliana’s face turned red with anger. She opened her mouth, closed it, then spun around a
