Lahat ng Kabanata ng Love Wasn’t On The Menu, Mr. Dimitrios : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 5

“Matthew is cheating on me!” I blurted out the second a groggy Vera had answered the phone. There was subtle ruffling at the other end before she finally said, “What are you talking about, Selene… it’s two in the morning.” “Exactly and I haven't seen Matt in a week,” I replied almost immediately, hoping she knew something that would help calm down my nerves. Or perhaps I was just tripping? “And you don’t know where he is?” She sighed, sounding more awake now. “Work…” I replied bitterly, “That’s all he had been telling me for the past couple days.” It was almost as though this invisible rift I had been sensing was slowly closing the gap, swallowing what little was left of our marriage. “I really can’t do this with you right now,” Vera interrupted my thoughts before adding, “I mean just listen to yourself. My brother is obsessed with you and everyone knows it… so what makes you think he’s cheating?” Before I could tell her about Matthew's lie, I could hear more shuff

Aries’s POV I knew that scent anywhere. While heading towards my meeting with Matthew, she had brushed past me, heading upstairs, almost seemingly in a hurry, the whispers following suit. Selene Andrews. The last time I had seen her was at her fathers burial before I heard she had handed the company over to her husband. Staring at her hurrying figure, I found myself wondering why she had given all the Andrew’s name had stood for. Selene had always seemed passionate about the company when Mr. Andrew was alive. The door to the elevator opened on Matthew's floor and at the same time, the door to Matthew’s office was slammed shut behind her. Matthew… t

Selene's POVSure enough, Matthew, lying back with Vera, their bodies entwined on our matrimonial bed. The sight made my stomach churn with disgust, but also a strange clarity, if I had regarded him as a dog in heat before now he was so fucking shameless one Caring less about what he was doing, I said, “We need to talk about the divorce.” “Fuck! Selene…” he yelled in surprise, scrambling to cover up himself and Vera "Worthless whores," I sneered. Vera's eyes met mine as though the word had somehow triggered her. "Oh shut the fuck up bitch!" She snapped. "Don’t you know what basic courtesy is?" Her audacity struck me… "I didn’t come here to argue with you" I screamed. The veins in my neck nearly popped as my breathing was rapidly growing ragged. "Lower your voice," Vera whined. “Mattew, give me what I want." "You have nothing, Selene. I mean you don’t even have a place to stay" I swallowed, in my fit of rage. "You have no account of your own, no company or
