Lahat ng Kabanata ng KNOTTING ON ICE: Scentless Obsession : Kabanata 21 - Kabanata 30

Aurel“Oh my God, dude…” Shantel says in a harsh whisper, his eyes wide as he grabs my arm and drags me out of the staff room where I had been hiding. “What did you do to that psycho?”“Nothing,” I reply quickly, avoiding his eyes as I try to pull my arm out of his grip.“Well, it doesn’t look like nothing,” he fires back immediately, not letting go. “You ran down here like someone was chasing you and told me never to tell the customer it was you who served his room, and now you’re saying nothing happened?”I shrug a little, trying to keep my face straight, but I can already feel a smile threatening to show. “Nothing happened.”Shantel narrows his eyes at me, clearly not buying it. “Could you please explain that?”I let out a breath and gently push him back so I have some space. He stumbles a little, and I glance down at him for a second. He barely reaches my chest, well…I'm as tall as some Alphas.“I am telling you the truth,” I say, lowering my voice a bit. “The VIP turned out to be

AurelAfter meeting the rest of the guys, I end up running into Grey in the locker room. He’s just coming back from the gym, a towel hanging around his neck, his hair damp with sweat like he has been at it for a while. That explains why I didn’t see him earlier on the ice.For a second, I just stand there looking at him, and it feels weird in a way I can’t really explain. It’s been two years, but somehow it doesn’t feel like it.“Grey?” I call out, half unsure. He pauses mid step, then turns, and the moment his eyes land on me, his whole expression changes. “No way…” he mutters, then lets out a short laugh. “Aurel?”I nod, a small smile pulling at my lips. “Yeah.”Next thing I know, he’s closing the distance and pulling me into a quick hug, patting my back like he’s making sure I’m actually real. “Damn, man… where the hell did you go?” he asks, pulling back to look at me properly.I let out a small breath, rubbing the back of my neck. “It’s a long story.”“Yeah, I figured,” he says, s

NeylanThe club is loud tonight, louder than I remember it being the last time I was here, but somehow it still feels dull to me. The music is heavy, bass vibrating through the glass in my hand as I sit back in the booth, watching people move like they have nothing weighing them down. I take a slow sip of my drink, letting the burn settle in my throat, and for once my head is not splitting open like it usually does.Ever since that night… things have been different. The migraines are not as bad, the constant pressure behind my eyes has reduced, and for the first time, I have actually been able to sleep without waking up every hour. It doesn’t make sense, but I am not questioning it either. Desmond sits across from me, relaxed as usual, his arm resting along the back of the booth while he scrolls through his phone. Next to him is the guy I paid to track down that omega from that night. He looks a bit too pleased with himself, which already tells me he has something worth my time to sa

AurelShit. How the hell did he find me?My hand moves on instinct, covering my collarbone immediately. He shouldn’t see the mark. I already covered it with a tattoo, matched the color and everything, it shouldn’t be obvious unless someone is really looking.I can feel the way his eyes keep dragging over my skin like he’s trying to peel it open and see what’s underneath. It pisses me off, but at the same time it makes me more aware of myself than I want to be.“What’s this now?” I smirk, forcing my voice to stay normal. “Parading that you are a pervert?”I shift a little, turning my body just enough to break his line of sight, but he doesn’t even pretend to be subtle about it.“Hmm,” he hums. “I wouldn’t be bothered, since it makes us equal.”I already know where he’s going with this and I hate that he’s enjoying it.“You who jerked your VIP customer off in his room in his unconscious state…” he continues, watching my face closely, “and I who only walked into a bathroom and coincident

AurelI step out of the hotel and the cool air hits my face, carrying the faint smell of smoke and traffic from the street. For a second I just stand there, adjusting the strap of my bag on my shoulder, my eyes scanning the line of cars parked along the curb.It doesn’t take long to find him.Jace’s car is easy to recognize, parked a little away from the entrance. I start walking toward it, feeling annoyed just thinking about that bastard.I reach the car and pull the door open, sliding into the passenger seat without saying anything at first. The door shuts with a soft thud and I lean back, letting out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding.Jace glances at me immediately.“You look like you want to punch someone,” he says, one hand resting on the steering wheel.I let out a short breath through my nose, shaking my head once. “Just work.”He doesn’t start the car yet. He studies my face for a moment, like he’s trying to decide if that’s true or not.“Just work?” he repeats.“Yeah,”
