Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Last Alpha’s Mate: Kabanata 151 - Kabanata 159

Elara“Wolves are trackers too.”I eyed him carefully.Okay… for valid reasons, he didn't want any tracker to find the chair and know we had passed by. Then, his body began to shift. His bones cracked loudly and his muscles began to expand under Fenrir's clothes until the fabric ripped. Within seconds, a massive grey wolf stood in front of me, his intelligent eyes looking at me with worry. He lowered his back so that I could climb on.I crawled onto his thick fur, wrapping my arms tight around his neck as I held my stomach. "Go, Tamper," I whispered. "Get us to the warehouse."The grey wolf let out a soft whine, stood up on his powerful legs, and began to run up the steep rocky path, keeping his movements as smooth as possible so he wouldn't hurt me.“Luna, I am sorry, but can you endure the pain?”I nodded, biting my lower lips until blood came out._________________In a blink, a full week passed by.We traveled only during the day, hiding in small caves and under thick bushes whene

Elara"In the flesh, Elara. We haven't seen you in over two months. That means you broke our official contract, and we are here to collect what belongs to us.""Who are you, really?" I demanded, taking a step toward the desk."My name is Dr. Maslone," she said, her smile turning incredibly dark. "I am one of the high board members of this hospital. In fact, I am the sole owner of the research laboratory that you and your wild Alpha mate burned to the ground before you ran away."She leaned forward, her eyes locking onto mine with a terrifying glint of greed. "Imagine my absolute happiness when the hospital system flagged your name this morning. You came back to us, Elara. And you brought the perfect specimen with you. Your baby boy is currently in our high-security vault, and he is going to help us finish the research you destroyed.”“Where are the tubes, Elara?" Dr. Maslone suddenly snapped. She tapped her manicured fingers on the glass desk. "The tubes you stole from my laboratory b

Elara"None of the other patients survived past one week once the virus got bad. But you weren't there to save him. You were gone for five months.”"It felt much longer than that to me," I whispered. "I was turned into a wolf myself and I had to run through the mountains…to save my mate from a terrible plane crash. I was fighting for my own life, Cora."Cora looked at me, before wiping her eyes. "I didn't know what else to do after my father died. I joined the hospital staff, read all the caregiving books and passed the hard exams just so I could work in this quarantine wing. I wanted to wait for you because you promised you would come back and help these sick people. But six months are almost gone... and almost everyone is dead. Including that small boy…”I felt a hot tear slide down my own cheek. I reached out and took her hands. "I am so sorry, Cora. I got caught up in all of this magical pack world. I was trying to survive. But I am here now. And I need your help. Dr. Maslone has

Tamper“Yes. Daisy and Vesper. Mother and daughter.” Jade coughed painfully. “They claimed to deliver Elara into their hands so they could take her baby and Maslone will have her revenge against Elara all these years! It is Elara we have been after from day one. She has no recollection of how she came into the facility because we made sure she never remembered all her past lives. But in all of them I dumbly fall for her.”I chuckled deeply. “So you've been using the blood…”Jade nodded. “It is part of the deal when working in the facility. All the board members, about three of them, are alive since Janet and D are dead.”“Tell me where to find them.” I smacked him with my left hand.“The vault... it is not in the hospital," Jade gasped. "It is in the sub-basement under the old chapel next door. There is a secret elevator behind the altar. That is where she keeps the babies and the serum samples. Even the remaining board members meet there everyday.Dr. Maslone's personal office is righ

FenrirThe pack was quiet, but it was the fake kind. For three long days, Vesper had been walking around the pack house pretending to be sad that Elara had left. But I know the truth now.I did not let Vesper see the anger in my eyes.During the middle of the night, I slipped out of the bedroom, needing to get to the place where Daisy and Vesper kept their stuff.Kate told me it was right in her house… something called a workshop.I bypassed the tunnel, crawling with guards. Did the Elders assign guards to her or something? I dropped down right outside her door. The lock was old, but I used my claw to click it open without a sound. Inside, the room smelled like old paper and dried herbs.I began to search through the thick leather folders on the table. After ten minutes of quick searching, my eyes landed on a red book with Daisy’s name written on the cover. It looked more important than the record book.I opened it and began to read. What? It was a record of Elara’s family line. The b
