Third Person POV As the medics finished their check-up, they left him alone, waiting for the senior officer to bombard him with questions. He exhaled quietly, already bracing himself for the tedious process, but before he could dwell on it, his gaze softened as it landed on Samantha. "Sweetheart, I know you’re exhausted." His fingers brushed gently against her cheek, his touch lingering as if trying to soothe her. "I’ll call Arthur to pick you up. This is going to take a while, and I don’t want you waiting around for me." Samantha shook her head and tightened her grip on his hand.
